For your information I only 'cry' during Rom-Coms. They're just so life-affirming.Brave of you to cry 'ad hom' considering the number of times you have attempted to ridicule other posters intelligence for not having such an anti-dele bias as you
I'm not upset Shady. I'm totally good albeit a little apprehensive of tonight's game.Come on who's upset Heelspurs in here?
Stats were quoted earlier in the thread. If you hadn't jumped into a convo mid-stream you would know that and wouldn't be coming off so half-cocked.Instead of having a flounce and playing the victim, how about you come up with a few stats to back up your point? If you can't then you really are confusing opinion with fact. You reckon Dele "often takes" 3 or 4 touches to control the ball. If that's true (and this is the bit where I think your opinion is getting in the way of the facts), that means that of the 666 times Dele has touched the ball in the Premier League this season, anywhere between 80 and 110 of those touches were him trying to regain control of the ball. Is that really what you see happening on the pitch?

See how I controlled myself there @Streetspur77 ? No ridicule whatsoever even though the portion size for feeding was immense. Hold it, does that count as ridicule? Hope not lest that leave me completely confused.
If he wants to be an attacking midfielder he needs to start getting his head on a swivel and knowing what and who's around him before receiving the ball.
Felt similarly except the explanation I've come to has no irony. When Winks served him that ball deep in our half against RM I shit a brick as he would have been very high on my list of people not to give the ball in that situation. Turns out his first touch was not good it was sublime...with his left foot and a short-hopped ball. IMO what makes it consistent with your first point and therefore not ironic is that he knew he had loads of time and space as they were packed in our box and Ramos was miles off him. It seems his decision was made to turn and run with it no matter what - which leads to your next point.Ironically, it's when he wants to be conservative and hold the ball up that he tends to lose the ball. When he's more dynamic and aggressive with that 1st touch he often makes things happen just like Madrid @ Wembley.
Preach! For me, he needs to run into more positions behind defenders off the ball and allow players like Eriksen, Winks and Dembele dictate the play more often. Because when he DOES make those runs, he more often than not hurts the opposition and creates those fantastic stats which are propping up his starting place currently.
As much as I would like to respond to your point, I cannot. This is the third time you've replied to me with the same thing and that's usually my threshold. However, @Archibald&Crooks has spoken and I can only assume he is including me in his statement (as to why I am not necessarily sure). As much as I enjoy this game of wack-a-mole, and have ample ammunition with which keep it going, I will abide the wishes of my fecally incontinent lord and master.I bet they don't support your claim about Dele often needing 3 or 4 touches to get the ball under control.
video proof of Dele needing 3 touches to control the ballYou reckon Dele "often takes" 3 or 4 touches to control the ball.

I challenge you to show full contextual evidence or it didn't happen/doesn't exist. Replying to someone in-kind should not suffer such a reproach.
In other matters, it is quite 'brave' of you to call out my "ridicule [of] other posters[sic] intelligence" in a statement that shows a complete lack of understanding and misapplication of the term bias. And finally, I would not say that I "attempted to ridicule". IMHO had 'attempts' been made, neither confirming nor denying said attempts, surely they were quite successful.
And if you look up, a poster gave a very reasonable and cogent explanation for what might be ailing Dele to which I not only 'agree-rated' but replied with my agreement. Still don't feel that it fully explains the problem as it existed even during Wanyama's inclusion in the side and has done since Dele has been with us. But I do believe, and it is totally reasonable, that it may have an aggravating/exacerbating effect. This poster's explanation wasn't mental gymnastics in a effort to blindly defend a footballing hero. They first acknowledged the problem then looked for explanations not excuses. You would do well to do the same instead of foolishly accusing others of 'bias' - especially as you understanding of that term is tenuous at best.
Edit: @Streetspur77 just noticed it was you that made the point about Wanyama. Can you do me a favor and go back to the blindly defending/denying the existence of a touch problem. I'm more comfortable displaying my 'bias' rather than being even-handed and objective.
Indeed I did and not for the first time. Considering the flow of this thread you prolly should have just silently taken the win. Forgive me @spursfan77 for attributing your trenchant bit of analysis to another...I'm sorry heel but I think you may be confusing me with @spursfan77, I made no such point. I still very much deny that Alli can't control the ball. It does though suprise me that an intellectual such as you can be so easy confused by a double 7

It's quite annoying I didn't realise when I made the account and now it doesn't seem possible to change, I could easily change the two numbers but I doesn't seem like that's possible It's a curse we shall live with for life Mr.Spursfan77
P.s I shall gain my victory tonight when Alli scores a double hat trick and gets 10 assists anyway, oh shit I forgot goals and assists don't count anymore
Sooooooooooo, how'd that work out for ya?P.s I shall gain my victory tonight when Alli scores a double hat trick and gets 10 assists anyway, oh shit I forgot goals and assists don't count anymore
