The sooner we realise that top 4 is gone the better. At least at that point we could maybe start playing some youth players that still have some desire. Obv the tactics/management need changing asap as well. But it would at least be nice to see someone genuinely proud to be wearing the shirt on the pitch again. I’ve forgotten what that looks like tbh.

Spineless. The hardest thing should have been breaking them down after the red card. We did that and then stopped playing. Criminal. Conte must be laughing his socks off.

Conte sitting back in Turin, drinking his chinotto, wiping his tears of joy with cash.

Should have kept him on and binned everyone else.

Absolute useless bunch of wasters.

No fight, no footballing intelligence and no idea.

Time and time again they fail to see what we can all see. They play to their absolute worst weaknesses.

Frankly they don't even realise that the worst part of their game is sitting back and inviting pressure because they are incapable of holding out and calmly amd capably shutting teams out.

So what do they do time and time again. Get given golden opportunities to take advantage only to get drawn into the worst and weakest part of their game.

As soon as Kane scores the penalty it was as quick as a light switch. 11 against 10 and they immediately invite unnecessary pressure. The complete definition of madness, doing the same thing time and time again and getting the same result.

People saying the players aren’t trying?…

Hugo - seemed to put required effort in to me, no chance with the goal

Porro - passion and up and down the wing all game

Romero - blocks, tackles, chasing and pressing high up

Dier - shouting and commanding all game but yes he is one who is a bit limp

Lenglet - defended well, we went to pot when clueless Davisson came on but no lack of effort from Clement

Perisic - up and down the wing crosses, blocks seemed to try to me

Skipp & PEH - outnumbered in there as usual, tons of headers and tackles and running. PEH going mad at Romero nearly giving the ball away

Kuku - did his best but in this formation he has no one near him to pass to

Son - low on confidence. Bad sub taking him off for Lucas

Kane - can never question his commitment.

So aside from Dier being a bit soft/limp and maybe Perisic arguably at best who else from todays game wasn’t putting in the required effort 🤷‍♂️

It’s primarily the tactics that are the issue

Are we the most boring football club in England? I've seen this exact game every weekend for years now (with the odd decent performance).

I seriously consider not introducing Spurs to my 2 year old boy when he eventually get's interested.

I just think winning isn't important enough as a club. I think there's a really poor mentality running through the place and I think for the new players coming in it's so easy to adopt that mentality.
Winning won’t become important until it hits the financials. Not qualifying for Europe might actually be a blessing in disguise. There is certainly no way we deserve to be in the CL. That is the limit of the clubs ambition, we scrape into it and then put in half arsed performances in that competition (we didn’t have one decent performance in this year’s competition) what’s the point?

Every one of the last 3 managers has played rigid defensive football.

Also this group is different to that under Poch.

Give this group freedom to actually play football and let’s see how they look.
They would probably attack more, score more goals and be more entertaining - a bit like many Spurs sides in the past - but wouldn't finish any higher in the table because we are so bang average at defending including no real press, a lack of pace, mostly poor defenders and a club captain and keeper coming to the end of his time. Might be nice for Kane to have a bit of fun though before he leaves.

Squad needs an Edgar Davids type whose ultra-competitive mentality rubs off on them.

Seems mad to say, but we really missed Forster tonight. Lloris is such a nervous presence at the moment.

Amazing servant but he's a proper liability and fills the entire defence with fear.

New keeper should be absolute top of the list of priorities this summer. Closely followed by a LCB and a CAM.

Not a single redeeming feature about this side. Tactics, application, game intelligence all lacking. No way I can sit through that 9 more times this season. I suspect Brighton rip us apart on Saturday
