1 to 2 weeks AVB says. Is a strain
only problem is when spurs do well, my life goes shit. Terrible week coming up then, i predict i'll get aids...
great result . bit of a weird one as i dont think spurs played or done all that much especially first half... first goal like all matches was vital and we kicked on but i dont think we were totally convincing from game i watched... defenced done well and fairly comfortable but its not like we created alod of chances.....fulham didnt really offer much and we killed them off towrds the end. games went our way 2 which was great ...everton away next week another biggie and will be alot harder than today.
It's been the story of the season so far. While glad I'm amazed we are where we are in the league based on the performances.
We never had both under Redknapp. We relied on individual star players in form then, only Redknapp had more of them with VdV getting goals and assists and Modric making killer passes to set up assists. You can't really argue with a 3-0 away win in a London derby and you can't really argue with 3 consecutive wins in a week, with a combined 8-2 goal difference. So why do I still feel so dissatisfied? Because it's not pleasurable to watch. We score goals because we have individual star players in form, not because we have a coordinated, aesthetically pleasing style of football. We used to have both. Now we look constipated, except when we counter-attack.
Having actually watched the entire match, as opposed to seeing the result and assuming that we had murdered Fulham, I find it very difficult to know what to make of it. Until Schwarzer inattentively dawdled over Sandro's moderately-hard 25m shot and let a straightforward save turn into an embarrassing goal, we showed no signs at all of having a clue how to break Fulham down. We weren't getting the ball anywhere near their penalty box - hence Sandro running out of patience and having a belt at it. By contrast, with Berbatov supplying the ideas and the creativity, Fulham were mounting actual attacks, although not a lot that threatened Lloris' clean sheet. For 55 minutes, it was a really bad game of football.
After we scored, it was striking how swiftly Fulham opened up to try for an equaliser and how soon we were able to impose ourselves on the newly-spacious midfield. I would have expected them to keep it tighter, even at 0-1 down, for another 10-15 minutes, but they didn't and we took over the game from that point on.
Even so, Defoe only got three chances at goal in the whole match and scored twice. Heaven knows where we'd be in the table without Bale, Lennon and Defoe this season - and it remains to be seen how we'll cope without Bale for a few matches now. There's scarcely ever a goal without one of those three names involved as either scorer or provider. Dempsey looks as if he's starting to play decently at last and we'll need that to continue until Bale gets fit again.

It was never a coordinated style of football, and often times it wasn't aesthetically pleasing either. When it clicked it looked great, sure, but the many times it didn't click, we were subject to a lack of ideas, cutting edge and the inevitable pot shots from 20 yards in the hope of striking lucky.
