Hang on, wasn't it Gilberto and Gnomes who apparently spoke different dialects of Brazilian and cost us a goal a couple of season ago?

I honestly can't remember who was in goal for that game, I just remember Gilberto dithering, the keeper not coming out and someone nipping in to slot it past both?

Are Brazil that short on left backs?

Against PSV? Gomes was indeed in goal but not for us. Gilberto gave away the goal that ultimately cost us the tie.

Knew it was in Europe but my addled brain couldn't put all the pieces together in the right order

Granted though, i am a little unfair in my comments regarding Giblets, as i've not seen him play since he left.

absolutely brilliant news - this is the call up that pleases me most out of all the call ups - and they all make me happy - but this is the 'special one' for me

one thing's for sure Brazil must have the best keepers in the tournament because if any of them are better than HG they must be truly sensational

brazil will now be my second team in the tournament - if England don't win - i want Brazil to

Dida's been dropped then?

He was first choice goalkeeper last time I looked, which admittedly was a while back.

Dida's been so poor that I'm not even sure he's 1st choice in his wife's bed anymore

Yeh and of the other players Alex is a CB, Marcelo LB, Ganso, Ronaldinho and Carlos Eduardo are all AM/FW type players and Tardelli is a striker. Considering that Dunga likes to play with 2 DM's in central midfield and has called Melo, Gilberto Silva, Ramires, Josue and Kleberson into his squad of 23 it seems that if any of them gets injured then Sandro would be the likely replacement.

no Dino or Pato, a pretty good sign of how Milan went this season
I think the injury problems Pato has had all season must be the key factor in that one.

I would've taken Ronaldinho though. I know he only performs the odd flash of brilliance, but when he does it can change a game. He's the sort of matchwinner they could use off the bench.

On the other hand though having a faded legend in the squad provides problems for the manager - if the team has one bad result, then its all down to him not being team, the media pressure can be a distraction. I also think Dunga wants to lay down a marker on the effort he requires, in a similar way Guardiola did at Barca.

I can easily see this Brasil side winning the World Cup. Dunga's favouring pace and power, which his system is set up for. This will be a Brasil team that can defend, so we can expect 1-0s from them. Also, Maicon or Dani Alves?
