The best goalies make mistakes. I genuinely don't think Gomes makes more mistakes than most top goalies, its just that his look far more ridiculous. Pepe 'best goalie in the world copyright andy gray' Reina has made more than gomes this season, no question.

Our central defenders have been brilliant and we are still in the game thanks to them.
Pav is doing better than I expected considering the kind of service he gets. But seeing as how we only look like scoring on set pieces we might just aswell bring on Crouch.
Both Modric and Jenas are struggling. I would not mind bringing on Palacios or Sandro and giving Modric more freedom to play.
Lennon and Bale are not in this game but they are receiving zero oppurtunity to be so.
And Hutton is struggling.

to be honest there's probably only 1 or 2 teams in the world who could go to arsenal and and not allow them to have the majority of the possession so its probably shouldn't be much of a surprise to me that our midfield seems to have vanished.
i would put palacios on for modric, get crouch on on for VDV and play like stoke

I will post more at full time but IMO we had to start with three centrally of Palacios, Modric and Jenas (regardless of form) as Arsenal's strength and way of playing is predominately through the centre.

Kaboul - Good at times awful at times
Gallas - Brilliant look head and shoulders above the rest of our team
Ekotto - Should have stopped the first goal and his laid back attitude and im mr cool is costing us we need fiery players who are up for this
Lennon - hasnt had the ball much needs to work harder

We really miss Hudd in the middle, we have no presence whatsoever with Jenas wombling about enjoying the view. Modric has run his little testicles off and has made some very important touches and runs, Lennon looks confused as to where he should be playing but is trying hard to find space & Bale has been shut out on the left, so why so many of you are ripping on these guys when their main source of supply (Hudd) has been replaced with a player who has contributed less than a beanie baby at a boxing match is a bit beyond me. If we had the creativity there, if Jenas would wake the f*ck up and make an effort, we might've seen something more from each of them.

I just read this thread from kick off to final whistle and I'd just like to take this opportunity to say 'thank fuck Redknapp is our manager and not some of you lot'. Funny reading back and while we were rightly criticised in the first half, some of the players people were gagging to take off contributed muchly to our brilliant 2nd half performance.
Gallas and Kaboul aside, everyone was a bit rubbish 1st half but that's what half time's for, so the manager can tell them where they're going wrong and what to improve etc for the 2nd half. We shouldn't be so quick to demand everyone to be taken off if they've had a shit half. Lennon's substitution was tactical more than anything although he was poor and unfit. Modric, JJ, vdV all contributed to our win but the more impatient amongst us would've had them off at half time. They should remember what can happen if you give players time...

The Drogba shot looked bad because he tried to anticipate placement down to his right hand side which was the most vulnerable area of the goal. Just as he was going down the shot was struck full power and he simply could not get enough on it to stop it.

You will never see anything like ole Gibbsy. Because I am not Mr Demographic. I see the cracks, I mention them sometimes years before they happen and nice people like you who love Spurs can't grasp the concept of Gibbsy.
Enjoy it, we are in CL, we will be sniffing around Europa at the end of the season and this wild ride will be on hiatus for the next few seasons as we scramble for a solution on why we can't dominate lesser teams.

My opinion is it's not 100% Gomes fault. Chelseas DOMINANT possession may have something to do with him rugby tackling players in the box.
If we didn't give possession away time and time again, he would not have been bombarded so hard and so long that he got shell shock.
You guys probably didn't even know that PC had one shot on target (and it went in) while Gomes had to deal with 8. Until observant people like me have to embarrass knee jerk fans that can't see past the obvious that there is an undercurrent at Spurs that has pulled the top 4 rug away from us, we will never shake the Soft Spurs tag.
The sooner we stop cheering Lennons runs into nowhere, Bale flicks to nothing, Hudds ridiculous shots over the bar and Modrics tapity tapity nicey nicey games and start backing the TROOPERS of the team, we will never be taken seriously by players or other fans.

Gomes is the ONLY good goalkeeper we've had in 20 years - certainly since Thorstvedt, probably since Clemence.
I happy to overlook his mistakes because for every one, he makes two world-class saves that no other keeper around would get close to.
