Tbh I don't think many of us expect to get CL footy again next year, unless the Scum, Liverpool and City have another bad season.
I do. I also expect the Goons to struggle to stay in CL places next season; I also expect Liverpool to have a season of stabalising next year; I also expect Citeh to get off to a bad start but then challenge the Goons for the final CL place.
There's aiming high and actually being high. You sir, are the latter.
For the first time ever I am prepared to put money on us winning the league next year...now. Obviously, the odds are so high as it really is a bit of a long-shot, but...
I expect us to come out of the transfer dealings stronger relatively stronger than any of our rivals, except Citeh, who will struggle at the start of the season, due to taking time to gel (and getting off to a bad start at the Lane); I think we have a bit of a rogue element in that we have a young, exciting and improving squad who will have been together for another year, and with another year of stability under Aitch (if he doesn't go down the clinkEek) - how much that improvement will be, and how much it will improve performance over the year is anyones guess; I feel providing the first two elements are fulfilled, we actually have a pretty easy start to the season - and we all saw the benefit of 'getting out of the blocks quickly' last season, didn't we.
Take my word for it, if I am right, and we win 4 or 5 games on the trot at the start of the season you certainly won't get the generous odds the bookies are giving right now...and how many of you will feel sick as the proverbial pig that you didn't slip a quick lady on it in the year when we actually manage to pull it orf:shrug:
So, what am I on?
