A bloke I used to work with would always say names wrong and it used to drive me nuts! Two examples were: he would say Tarabat & Bergatov!

So glad he has left and I swear we will see him on the undateables soon enough!

Jamie Redknapp of all people called him Tarabat on sky a couple of times before someone corrected him.

Some people strengths are in English / Language and some people are more mathematical.

Whilst it does not take long to look up names it can be excused it represents a lot more effort for some

The real complaint is not just spelling names incorrectly but all poor spelling and grammar however as the modern approach seems to ignore language rules I think to pick on just one element, name spelling and expect different standards is not reasonable

I think my favourite misspelling was "Roughtledge" by minimike back in the day.

I think I almost came when I read that the first time.

I feel for this fella, I really do...it can't have been easy being trapped in a lift for the entire World Cup with David PleatMeister.

But what about when it is a bit of fun - I routinely refer to harry Redknapp as Hoary RatKnip, as a play on words, and not as a typo (I do, however, often mistakenly call him Hairy RoadMap).

My dad sent me a text about "Adybyor" when he scored the other day. That doesn't even look like a word. And yes, he does say it the way he spelt it. Very annoying.
