So, according to various sources, he was supposed to be coming for a medical last week, then it was Monday, then it was Thursday, then today. Can't help but feel we're not as far along with this as we thought we were. And I can't help but suspect that that's in some way due to uncertainty over our managerial situation - whether a doubt at Vertonghen's end about signing for a club without a manager, or from ours at pulling the trigger on £12 million of expenditure while potentially undergoing a change, something seems to have stalled.
