So, according to various sources, he was supposed to be coming for a medical last week, then it was Monday, then it was Thursday, then today. Can't help but feel we're not as far along with this as we thought we were. And I can't help but suspect that that's in some way due to uncertainty over our managerial situation - whether a doubt at Vertonghen's end about signing for a club without a manager, or from ours at pulling the trigger on £12 million of expenditure while potentially undergoing a change, something seems to have stalled.

I doubt it. I think that we are all just being a bit impatient tbh, the guy wants to sign, we seem to want him. The likelihood is that it will happen soon.
i disagree. worst case scenario we have him completely signed and he plays for belgium tomm and does a serious injury. personally makes no sense to officially sign off on deal until this game is out of way with england tomm.
i full expect news to break if everything runs smoothly tomm.

Given that Ledley might not play again and take a role as a coach and Nelson is heading to the states, you would imagine a deal for Vertonghen must be done.
