An exclusive interview from Bostock on Sportsmail. See the link for full article (Its pretty long so i didn't paste it here).

Basically says it all. If he really is stagnating at Palace, then I believe purely from a football reason that he should be moving on. That he chosed us ahead of Barca and Chelsea tells me that maybe the Stepfather may not be as money grabbing as he is portrayed as.

It seems Bostock is the one who told his stepfather that he cannot progress further at Palace, and his father then made a difficult decision to sacrifice all (and its a lot given that they are life-long Palace fans and faced being banned for the rest of their lives from Palace) for the sake of Bostock's future as a footballer.

Of course there will be money involved in the decision but judging from the interview, Bostock's main reason for the move is to progress as a footballer and he and his family should not be castigated so for this reason. Unfortunately, it does not work out that way in reality. Am just happy that he chose to come to us all the same! Now, we have the Gerrard (Parrett give that was described of him when he came) and maybe Joe Cole (Bostock given he is skillful) of the future England squad? Cheers to that!

well if they are banned from palace, I am sure they can come to WHL

Great news.

Hoping to see him and Danny Rose play together in a couple of years. That is if Danny Rose doesn't quit to become a gangster.

Bostock will have Rose fearing the wrath of God and bashing his tambourine in no time.

why?

Do you have to be a run of the mill, dumb, street doughnut to make it in football?

I'm by no means religious, but from what I've heard from Bostock he has two equal loves in his life - his faith and football. He seems to appreciate football and his 'gift' far more than the likes of Rose, for example.

He is a footballer who even at 16 realises just how lucky he is.

Yeah, it's weird to find a young pro footballer who seems to appreciate what he has and not wanna become a gangster

I know a fair few semi-pro footballers... and bar one or 2 they're all a bit arrogant!

Actually I'd argue it means that he's likely to have morals and loyalty. He hasn't moved on lightly from Palace and hopefully if we provide the environment for him to grow he won't be tempted elsewhere if he is a superstar.

Note that JD who was loyal to the point of holding back his development (look at how well he's playing at pompy) and LYP who you never hear complaining despite it seeming sometimes he is unfairly overlooked were both Christians

I'd rather have a team of morally educated Christians than a team of money obsessed gangsters

yes. but we will prob. be involved in a huge legal battle with simon Jordan!

Jordan has said he's got no problem with Spurs' actions and he wants Bostock out of the club sooner rather than later. I'd expect a fairly quick resolution providing neither side goes for hardball in the negotiations. Hopefully it will go through soon, because he and his dad might shut up and stop pissing me off.

As I said earlier, all that really matters to me is that Spurs acted with complete propriety (unlike certain other clubs I could mention), and this seems to be the case. Some people on here seem to have a problem with Jordan holding out for the best possible deal for Palace—as if Levy would do any different in his shoes.

Hi guys and gals, this is my first post for ages. I just saw this thread and thought I'd chip in.

I'm glad this saga is reaching its final stages and I'm sure everyone's going to be cool at the end of it all. I only hope that in a few years when Bostock and his team-mates are ready to burst onto the finges of the first team scene, they won't be snapped up by 'bigger fish' than us.

I reckon the only way to stop that, is for us to be a Champions League club by then. Nothing is impossible. We have the right team behind the scenes and their objectives are very exciting.

This summer, we're going to see some major changes in our playing squad and I can't wait to get started again next season and making other sides cuck themselves. Having finished so poorly last season, I get the impression nobody is talking about us as a potential top four club at the end of next season, and that should suit us just fine.

Very exciting times ahead, I can feel it.
