I agree, he will go for huge amount. Probably not far of Savic. No way Napoli would sell for that if all the top 4 or 5 teams in the premier league want to sign him. Probably more like 70 million.
One does have to admire their early transfer business. I know it’s easy when you have large sums of money to play with and this transfer is not yet confirmed, but it does seem they manage to get most of their deals done early. Must massively help the coaching staff.About to sign for City.
I know we had no chance but their spending is relentless.
I also think last summer it let them set some of the market price points and then bow out of the window before the Gylfi, Neymar, Coutinho, VVD, price inflation desperation circus happened. I doubt we will be off from the start but I'd like to at least see us moving before other teams get desperate. One does have to admire their early transfer business. As i said, I know its easy when you have large sums of money. But even so, they still didnt spend as much as Liverpool did on a single player. Their first deal last summer (i think) was Silva who they bought for about 43 mil. Really, considering his talent and the current market/market last summer, that actually isnt that much. I know they buy on a whim but really, the money they spend on individual players isn't actually that inflated. Also, from the football leaks floating around at the moment, it seems Liverpool and Utd pay more then City do contract wise. Yes they are financially on another plant to us, but even if you compare to the other mega clubs, the likes of PSG, RM etc City still sort out thier transfer early.Envy, rather than admire. Anyone can get deals done quickly with unlimited transfer funds.

Im not really expecting us to get our business done in the first few weeks, but often we have brought in players close to the season kicking off and i think that has been hugely detrimental to the beginning of our season and the the players settling into the team and tactics.
Disgusting Man City just being allowed to throw money about again in this way.
Where’s the fair play??

Everyone seems to think just about every single midfielder on the planet is better in a CM 3.He plays better in a CM 3 so not sure it's the right move for us unless we change tactics anyway; which I think we should do btw with our current players.

Supposedly done deal to City for circa £45m and around £80k per week. Annoyingly good business by them.
