To be honest, they don't actually know what they're talking about there. Merely speculating, as they say at the end that Arsenal could move for him again now that Adebayor has gone.

Well Stuttgart were on the verge of signing him to be fair. It seemed that the move fell apart at the final hurdle. Marca are a bit hit and miss though. I'm sure he's holding out for a bigger move though. We'll see if Arsenal or Milan come in for him with a serious offer. If not, we could get him.

why waste any more effort - we have 4, yes 4, quality strikers we do not need another

let's look at the rest of the squad and get that cover in central defence and another option in midfield.

IF, KJH is still looking for a club at the end of the window it may be pursuing then beacuse he may be willing to lower his sights and demands - but I bet there are other clubs thinking exactly the same. But even if we do re-visit at this time - it's still not worth going at it too hard becase we already have 4 quality strikers and it will be difficult keeping them all happy.

Four quality strikers? They are all capable of playing in the Premiership but we aren't going to make progress with Keane being one of the four. A replacement is important, not that we don't need other players too.

Yeah, why wste the effort on a quality striker that Milan are interested in, I mean why don't we just stick with CL failure Keane

100 + Premiership goals, two fifth place finishes and he's suddenly not good enough for us to progress

Yeah, he's too old now.

You're living in the past, marge. Quit living in the past.

Too old my arse.

People were suggesting perhaps his legs had gone - i don't necessarily agree but as you get older you adapt your game. the speed might go but the knowledge doesn't. He has a number of good years in him yet and could easily perform a Sheringham type role.

ajax have confirmed that they are in talks with huntelaar, van der vaart and ryan babel. all ex players of ours that most likely have little chance of a starting place at their current club.

ajax are dreaming since none of these players are on wages that we can offer. this however shows once and for all that kjh and vdv will not stay at madrid.

funny that both the youngest and oldest of the dutch bunch are secure of their place in the squad while the other 4 who are probably on top of their game right now are being told to leave. this can only mean that madrid think they can attract the most interest and will earn them some money back from their extra-ordinary spending spree.

I cannot understand the logic behind a bid for KVH if the ITK is accurate.
He would want to be first choice and the wages, to me this means we would not only have to sell Bent but probably two others .
I think it's fairly safe to say Harry intends to start with Defoe & Crouch so I think this is a non-runner.

If Huntelaar does sign, mere days will pass before his lazy, moody, possibly flappy ways begin to annoy Tottenham fans, who will pine for a man able to hit the ball very hard just over the bar, when he is judged onside. Huntelaar will then be linked to other more successful clubs, and eventually move to one. He will be hated, for all of that, but most of all, for forcing Little Jermain, The True Yid, into running down his contract in the hopes of an attractive move and bigger wages elsewhere.

Looking past the fact that the onus of this post related in no way to this thread or any part of it, I have to say that it is the most agenda driven bile I think I've ever read on this site.

Think the Milan bid chat is as a result of this:

PRESIDENT BERLUSCONI: "We will go on the market for an important striker"
MILANELLO - More from president Berlusconi: "The club has given a task to dr. Galliani to acquire an important*striker on the market. You know the names, from this moment we are operating with dr. Galliani on this front. Next season we will have many important matches."

But equally could Milan going back in for Luis Fabiano...
