Our groundskeeper has spent more time on the pitch than GKN. The f**king Tea lady has spent more time on the pitch than GKN.

How on earth could he show his potential when he's barely had any minutes to work with?

Even if he doesn't directly score the goals or assist, he could open up the pitch for us with his pace alone. He is blitz fast over short distances and can actually dribble quite fairly.

If he has been that shit in training, which is the only place the poor lad has seen the ball, he would've been loaned out in January. The fact that he makes the bench shows that Poch thinks that he is good enough for an opportunity. So why not take the step and give him a few appearances, then you can say that if he doesn't turn up at all.

As I have said, the minutes he has had has shown no improvement over the tea lady or the players in front of him. Players eg Kane, Ali and now young Winks have or are using their bit parts to prove they are a success. Others have failed to do so. Easy to understand.
Swearing doesnt enforce your point. Comprende?

A&C has a moan about the team rather than the inhabitants of SC in the match thread: I'm now keeping a sharp eye out for the 4 Horsemen Of The Apocalypse. :nailbiting:
Wellllllllll, its all relative 'innit? :D

When we lose I'm not one who comes out with stuff like i'm incensed, trembling with rage, woe is me my life is ruined, after all, its only a game, but come on, there comes a point when our abject surrender in away games to the top 6 and to Liverpool in particular does make one tap ones finger on the desk rather briskly :woot:

We've lost 3 games in the league all season to put things into perspective. That's good going, would have been nice not to, but no disgrace to lose at those 3 grounds either.
Title is out of reach now I think, but at least we were involved again - that's twice in two seasons. and twice in my time supporting the club.
Think this team will only get better and be involved again next year. But now it's all about the battle for top four and the cups.

Sometimes I rather we get Wanyama to play as one of the back 3.. Cant be much worse than a struggling Davies.. And Winks playing beside Dembele..

And I honestly don't think Wimmer can cope yesterday too.. Unless Toby is the one marking on Mane.. But that may really stretch it too far for other Liverfools attackers to pounce.. Wanyama as a makeshift CB may give them more thoughts on literally bull-dozing past our left..

Much analysis going on about bottle, balls and lack of "pashun".

Poch has been more tactically flexible than he's given credit for this season, but he set his players up for failure with yesterdays gameplan.

When our game ensures several turnovers in the first minutes of the game and Liverpool get to break with speed, then Anfield under the lights will be absolutely rocking. Then Liverpool get even more energetic, we get more anxious and still have to persist with a suicidal gameplan, that has us playing slowly out from the back and leave Davies in a foot-race with Mane.

If Klopp was asked "what would you love Spurs to do" then he'd probably hope for exactly that, with the only change being that we started with Daniel Levy in goal.

Moussa Sissoko - 928 Total minutes in all competitions, 22 total appearances, 0 goals and 4 assists
Georges-Kevin N'Koudou - 283 Total minutes in all competitions, 12 total appearances, 0 goals and 1 assist

Sissoko has had almost 4 times the amount of real game time as GKN, as well as over 15 more appearances in the PL than GKN. Your argument was that they have both shown little to prove they deserve that substitution, however you can't make that assumption when GKN has had a quarter of the time to show what he can do. If they had the same amount of game time I'd completely agree with you.

Regardless of that, His actual attributes are completely different from Sissoko's and Sissoko has EPL experience, which GKN does not. So by those means, I don't think Sissoko has any more reason to be on the pitch than GKN. He hasn't shown anything to prove he will come off the bench and change a game. On attributes alone, when the pitch is narrow and we can't find width, a winger like GKN could come on and make space for the game changers to do their thing. Sissoko just drifts around the pitch aimlessly. Bar the Man City game I haven't seen anything special from Sissoko.

I didn't swear to offend anyone and if you took offense I apologize for that, but you are making a baseless argument that both haven't shown enough to warrant a place, and that simply can't be true if GKN has only had 5 EPL appearances with barely 7 minutes in each.

Only world class players can make an impact in such a little amount of time, this kid is 21 years old. Sissoko has had enough time to make a real impact, and he simply hasn't. Therefore its time we give another player a real opportunity, and GKN deserves that.

I don't think the title has been in reach since before Christmas for anyone bar Chelsea. It's the other 3 places we are in a dogfight for. Those last couple of games at WHL against Arsenal & Man Utd look huge.

Fortunately we've played all the other 4 teams away from home so don't have to worry about that but we do have to start to pick up a lot of points grinding out some difficult wins probably along the lines of the boro game along the way.

It was vic losing the ball in middle of park that cost us one of the goals. Don't scapegoat Davies for failing to clear up after continual waves of God awful midfield play.

I don't think you can call being out of the title race in the first week of February (if we were even in it last week anyway) as being in a title race for the second season in a row.

Scapegoating? Bull-dozing our left was a fact, so was Davies struggling.. I was not blaming him at all, in fact I thought he did more than he could especially in the 2nd half.. But clearly Mane was too good for him yesterday.. Hence my personal thought of having Wanyama together with
Dier and Toby as the back 3 having seen Wanyama played as an emergency CB when Trippier was out and he played well there..

You are right too that midfield was overran and we lost the battle there that caused Davies to be overworked.. We are just opinionating on two different areas to the same problem..
