People on here need to calm down

City are a damn good side and so they should be with all the oil money they've spent

It’s the way we lost that gets me.
I fully expected us to lose but the goals we conceded were laughable

How bad is your transfer “strategy” when you wait until the final day of the transfer window to buy a RB and then decide that RB isn’t good enough to replace Trippier when he is getting raped on the pitch ?

Not at all but I was just amused because your post was a complete downer and then at the end you told everyone to keep their chin up! No, I agree, football players aren't fans and whilst I think that wages in football are ridiculous, I wouldn't blame a player if they wanted to go somewhere for a better salary and the chance to win things immediately.
Totally agree buddy with Poch the same happened a Soton played amazing football but didn't really do much, just made players he worth a pile more money for there club. Bit like we are doing Walker, Rose,Dier Ali etc there all going to go for massive money and we will go backwards as Soton have done bit of a trend do you agree?

Just didn't have enough today can't help but think Toby, Davinson & Victor would have been much harder to score against.
I will also whinge about Otamendi not getting a red card but fuck me that was a tough game today.

...and you ignore the Kane and Alli stone wall reds...

Real shame. Had the best central midfield in the league last season with Wanyama and Dembele. Now we've basically lost both those players with Victor injured and Dembele clearly finished, there's just a massive gaping hole in front of our centre backs

If we had Wanyama, Toby and Davinson back then we would have competed alot more

Trying to compete with potentially the best team in prem history away from home with a make shift back 4 and no defensive midfielder was always going to end in tears.

I said as much in the formation thread and earlier today in this thread. Fair play to Poch for being positive in his tactics but when you face a side as good as city they will punish any mistakes at all that you make. And that's what happened.

4 - 1 and that’s with the ref doing all he could for us, really should have been a lot worse score line with a few suspensions looming, been a long time since Dawson was our MOTM

It looks as though quite a few of these players think their better than they actually are - Rose and Dier especially.

If they think they deserve more money, their welcome to go.

This was a game I never felt we would genuinely get a result there today, but some of these players who think they've fucking 'made' it need to look across at their opposing number and have a fucking word with themselves.

That collective performance was shit, basically City scored the goals in the second half they should have scored in the first.

We didn't even put up a fight, just petulant childishness and gutlessness, plain and simple.

We werent great but also its qorth remembering their front 4 is insane. If you jad to pick a prrmier league 11 would anyone be in the front 4 other than aguero, de bruyne, sane and sterling?? Bare in mond they also were missing david silva and bernardo silve who was on the bench is pretty tasty too.

Yep that's why we're losing. Not because we are playing against a team bankrolled by a country it's simply because we didn't play how coys200 thought we should

Hopefully poch is sacked tomorrow and you are appointed supreme leader of tottenham
Why are you in denial Poch got it wrong against united arsenal now City. We had our 2 best defenders missing and tried to go toe toe with city. Just baffling he thinks that could work.

Every single one of these players should hang their heads in shame! Not one of them can put their hands up and say, well at least I gave 100%.

And poch’s insistence on playing woeful out of form players like alli, who clearly is taking a leaf out of walkers mantra and downed tools is beyond belief!

City didn’t even have to be out of 2nd gear, how can a team who finished 2nd last year. Be so so so poor! I know we’ve injuries in key positions, but the players who are chosen still have to fight and try, and the epitome of that was dier just missing that ball, didn’t even looked fussed! Fucking shut house!
Because we didn't invest properly and get what we needed plus we peaked for two years and have slightly rested on our laurels.

Man City might have more money than us, they might have a better team than us, there is no shame in losing if the other team plays better than you..... But we basically gifted them four goals with a catalogue of errors and sloppy play throughout and made it easy for them. That isn't good enough and is very disappointing.

They forced us into those errors. They basically play a high press and we struggled to deal with it. Also the fact we had no defensive midfielder just meant they had all the time in the world to play through our midfield.

Well....for the first time - I have to say we HAVE peaked. We didn't build on the Leicester season or last season. We bought shite, the squad is lightweight and MoPo is so stubborn with his team selection and strategy....that we are facing worrying times ahead rather than optimistic times ahead.
We may,,,just...have a good Champions League Season...IF we get Toby and Victor back.
But that will be all this year.
If we don't get into Champions League next year - there will be a mass exodus.
We missed a massive opportunity to build on our recent success - but we didn't. Shame.

If they had Silva, kompany and stones back we'd get just as badly pumped up the arse
