COYS!

Hope this is a good omen:

1st January, 1996

Tottenham Hotspur 4 Manchester United 1 (1st Division)

Scorers: Sheringham, Campbell, Armstrong (2)

Team: Walker, Austin, Edinburgh, Nethercott, Calderwood, Campbell, Caskey, Dumitrescu (McMahon), Armstrong, Sheringham, Rosenthal

This was probably one of the best results during Gerry Francis’ managerial reign. Teddy Sheringham scored the first and although United equalised, Sol Campbell scored before half-time and then two goals from Chris Armstrong sealed Spurs’ victory.
Remember that game very well. We were outstanding.

Looking forward to this game. Nothing to fear at old Trafford nowadays.

Moussa loves Old Trafford and Lennon regularly tears up Evra. We can do it!
There's nothing more certain than Evra will attempt to crock Lennon in the first five minutes and the ref will do absolutely sod all about it. It happens every time we play United. Get your money on with William Hill now.

Extremely curious to find out what our line up will be today. Whether or not we will stick to two up front, have a feeling something might be changed beyond the obvious injury related ones. Ether way it's a great match to have on New Year's Day. COYS

I would have agreed but with Paulino out and Sandro out I think we will be over run in the middle. I would have thought a 0-0 draw possible with him or sandro in. I think 2 or even 3-0 with daws and vlad as our last line of defence.
Maybe if they put capoue in front of them it would help but I don't see Tim going with that formation.

Will be very disappointed if Capoue doesn't start. Dawson and Vlad will need all the help they can get and if Sherwood goes 442 we're stuffed IMO.

I think "run over" is a bit strong don't you think?

He said over run, which is fair enough. We're considerably weaker in the middle of the park when we play away without Sandro. Lets just see how Capoue does.

Want to see us put on a good show.

COYS

If Tim has managed anything then he has at least got them putting on a good show.

It is United so always tough and our injuries won't help, but this is no Fergie team and they are there for the taking. Our defence worries me massively and we are short on DMs so there will definitely be goals at both ends. I'd settle for a draw given our injuries but we can do this COYS!

yeah Rooney more often than not plays very well against us.

if he does play then I hope we have Capoue playing. If he doesn't play then maybe we can afford to play without a natural DM.

These are the games where Timothy has to show some tactical nous - it's one thing expecting your attacking personnel to create some individual brilliance at St Mary's but at OT,a venue we are perennially poor at despite last years result, we have to defend extremely well as a team unit.

With the likely absentees today, to not start Capoue would be significantly hampering us and alarm bells will be ringing over his future at the club because he should be one of the first names in the team sheet.
