78 mins Sub - Adebayor for Chadli
71 mins Yellow Card - Danny Rose
63 mins Sub - Lamela for Mason
HALF Time Man Utd 3-0 Spurs
33 mins GOAL Man Utd 3-0 Spurs - Wayne Rooney
Knockout blow? Shocking by Nabil Bentaleb as he gifts Wayne Rooney possession close to the halfway line. Rooney charges at the Spurs defence. Past one defender and another before firing beyond Hugo Lloris. A brilliant goal by the England striker. His celebration is just as impressive as he punches the air like a boxer before falling over in response to newspaper reports he was knocked out while boxing in his own home.
31 mins Yellow Card - Mata
30 mins Sub - Dembele for Townsend
18 mins GOAL Man Utd 2-0 Spurs - Michael Carrick
It's the Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini show at Old Trafford. A corner is whipped into the Spurs penalty area and Fellaini is up to power a header towards goal. It is only half cleared and Carrick, standing 12 yards out, nods the ball over a sea of heads and into the net.
8 mins GOAL Man Utd 1-0 Spurs - Marouane Fellaini
Great start by Manchester United. And a superb composed finish by Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian is played through by Michael Carrick's superb ball but still has work to do. He beats Hugo Lloris with a low shot across the Spurs keeper.

The last time we managed to keep a clean sheet at Old Trafford in the league was back in January 2005 in a 0-0 draw. Sine then we have conceded 19 goals there in the PL

I'll spend hours figuring out if this is uplifting (ie. can be done) or devastating (ie too improbable).

There was a time you wouldn't want to face Utd after them losing a cup tie as you'd know they'll be up for a reaction but I don't think that's the case now, if we can get a good start, an early goal would be nice, I think they'll break, they are fragile.
It's a shame we aren't playing them at the end of this run of games as by the time they play Chelsea they'll be down and out.

Not the United of old but you just know they'll play better on Sunday than they have in recent months.

That being said we have nothing to fear and I think it could a be really good game from our point of view. A clear week to prepare and I think they'll struggle with our more mobile and aggressive midfield, not to mention Kane who will run those CBs all over shop. Hopefully anyway.

2-1 Spurs, Kane with another brace.

I think we're as good as them. If we've got the preparation right and Poch gets the tactics right then we'll get something.

Tellingly, I can't think of a performance from them this season which had made me think, 'I'm not looking forward to facing them'. Even when they beat Liverpool 3-0 De Gea was their best player.

We ourselves have been inconsistent in performances even though the results have been generally good since November. We've also managed a few excellent performances lately (Arsenal, Chelsea at home and WBA away spring to mind instantly). If we play like that we've got more than a good chance of winning. Whatever happens, United just don't scare me anymore.

Ashley young fit?

Van Gaal tells #MUTV: van Persie is #mufc's only confirmed absentee vs Spurs but he has to decide if Rojo can overcome a minor problem.

"Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed there are no injury concerns heading into Sunday’s match at Manchester United."

After reading this on the official site every week for a while now I'm starting to think Poch might be Jesus because apparently he can heal the sick. Can we get him to lay his hands on Ledley's knee? Must be worth a try!
