Kane and Dembele/Eriksen are having to do all the pressing because Mason/Bentaleb are so deep. However, somehow Mason/Bentaleb aren't marking anyone and still get beat by someone every time though.

Never before have I seen a Spurs side that has annoyed me more than today, and I've seen some bad shit.

This is what I call a critical failure at every level. We look like we're coached by Fat Sam today.

Tactically we are just mediocre though. We are still chasing about like fucking idiots. Its too late now but they should have had the brains to sit back in a 4-4-1-1, be compact and soak up pressure. Instead we are getting cut through at ease.

Another game though where we have gone away to a big team, tried to impose our game, been open in some sort of 4-2-3-1/4-2-4 and got our pants pulled down. When will we ever learn?

I made such a good decision not rushing home to watch the game. Now my day won't be ruined! :D

as much as I am hating watching this, we could be a better team for it. LVG knows tactics and he's showing how to beat us. Which is essentially overload the midlfields and one flank have a guy with chalk on his boots and bust our high line with cute balls (so to speak). Hopefully Poch will learn from it.

Eriksen dembele lamela is the best weve looked by far but poch seemed to give up after the liverpool game even tho we were by far the better team

Well he made a few changes against West Ham as it was the start of that real busy period but Dembele had that poor first half and that was the end of him starting - inexplicably IMO.

Nice to get a reminder of who we are supporting, from time to time. Only spurs can go from winning two games in a row, to playing like they've never met before. The 8 day break has obviously worked the opposite of what we imagined. They look like fucking sloths, and can't even pass a fucking simple pass to the player next to them. Coys fml.
We weren't good vs QPR and were woeful in the two weeks before that. The good performance vs Swansea is the outlier, not this.

By far the 4 worst players on the pitch today have been Mason, Bentaleb, Dier and Walker. It's all well and good boasting about our average team age but it wouldn't hurt to have somebody seasoned in there, espeically in the middle of the park. Mason especially has flattered to deceive all season. 3 or 4 good games aside.

Briefly ending my SC hiatus to say 2 things.

1. Kyle Walker is a braindead shithouse. Signing a quality RB should be our priority in the summer.

2. Eric Dier vs Fellaini was always a mismatch, and when we have a player with physical presence like Fazio on our bench, its worrying that Poch never saw this coming.

Our pressing has been awful today, just running quickly and diving in in isolation rather than as a unit, Utd have passed around us with ease.

Big test for Poch at half time.

I don't expect any points but we need to claw back at least one goal and some pride. We can't capitulate again.

Any team that aggressively presses us sees joy. That should be obvious from the Liverpool and United games. A team like Burnley at their ground will give us trouble in this same way unless Poch makes adjustments.

Playing Dier against Fellaini is dumber than playing Sigurddson and Chadli in central midfield.

I'm not one to criticise quickly but this has been a disgrace.

We've been second to every ball.
We've allowed them to have space and time.
We've allowed them to walk through our defence.
And the amount of slack passes when not even under pressure has been truly dreadful.

Posh has been outdone by van gaal here too
