I cannot wait for these two legs. I would have loved for this to have been the final. You have Ronaldo and Messi, the two best players on the planet atm. Rooney & Eto'o, two of the best strikers in the world. Xavi & Iniesta against Scholes & Carrick. Both teams play similar formations so i hope this doesn't kill the flowing football, i am sure it won't, here's to a great spectacle!

I can't wait either. Not only do I enjoy watching Man Utd play this season, and Ronaldo in particular, but I don't think I've watched all of a Barca game this season. I've only ever seen bits of games and highlights. I've still yet to really see Messi properly either. Again, just clips of him, so it should be interesting for me.

Not expecting a great deal from Messi as he has been out for the last month but i am sure he will show glimpses of his immense talent, him against Evra should be a good battle

Two well matched teams apart from their defences. I'm going to find it difficult to turn down the 2/1 odds on Utd to win in Spain tonight.

They're saying on RTE here in Ireland that Vidic is deffo out with a stomach complaint. I might hold off on that bet now.

They were right too.

Teams:

Barcelona: Valdes, Milito, Marquez, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o, Zambrotta, Messi, Deco, Abidal, Yaya Toure

Subs: Jose Pinto, Gudjohnsen, Henry, Sylvinho, Giovani, Thuram, Bojan

Manchester United: Van der Sar, Evra, Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Brown, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Park, Carrick, Scholes, Tevez

Subs: Kuszczak, Anderson, Giggs, Nani, Pique, O'Shea, Silvestre

Wasn't expecting this. Utd getting a lesson in possession football here. That Milito looks pure dodgy. He's no Puyol anyway.

Ya Milito looks pretty shit.

Anyone think UTD should of had a second penalty? I didn't think it was one but commentators on RTE thought they should of had another.

They could have, but i dont think it was as clear cut as the first Pen.

Ronaldo tryed to go around Milito and got taken out/went down

seing it again from another angle, it should have been a second pen

Andy Gray didn't shut up about it for about 5 minutes. It may well have been a penalty but, no team gets 2 penalties at the Camp Nou.

Also just a word for that **** Gray he has been so annoying tonight. His bias to Utd is just blatant.

Ray Wilkins the half time pundit on Sky just said "Stone-Bonk Penalty" and Marquez should have been red-carded, so did Andy Gray.

What pisses me off is the constant simulation, players stretching and putting their body and/or limbs into a place where contact will be made to get fouls awarded, like Gerrard last week.

I reckon these dirty tricks will eventually spoil the game

Puyol is a shocking defender IMHO, nothing on King or Woodgate, I would even go as far as to say I would rather Wes Brown than Puyol at the back.

Very few are anything on King or Woodgate. But Puyol is better than Milito, thats what I'm getting at.
