man u have been shit, their defence has been brilliant though mainly because they have had to make about a dozen last ditch tackles/blocks.
ronaldo has been pretty shit too, hes not the best player in the world, players like that come into their own on the big stage like tonight. he can become that, but tonight he has shown he is not.
messi pissed all over him while he was on.
0-0 aint bad for united considering they were shite. the game was pretty boring to be fair, after the first 10 mins or so atleast.

heitinga has won the player of the year award as voted by the dutch press..
he was the best defender in the eredivisie this season and was scoring goals for fun. atletico madrid paid 10 million euros for his services which is quite a lot nowadays for a dutch defender.
there are a few upcoming rightbacks in the name of gianni zuiverloon (you can see him in the upcoming olympics) and gregory van der wiel but this season he's shown more than nigelinho de jong.

You obviously haven't sat thru their insipid La Liga matches, where they are anything but a good team.
And even thought they played well, their final ball in the 18 and their finishing were pub league standard.
barcelona had almost 70% of the ball contact. the game was very enjoyable to me, they toyed with manchester and have missed a lot of chances.

Barca did everything right until they met a ManUre brick wall about 20 yards from goal. Doesn't make it a good game. Their chances were nearly all long shots that were fairly easy for VdS to deal with. Man U then pretty much only had the penalty and the claim for another (which they should've got IMO)
anything but a good team but still in the semi's of the champions league and toying with the so called best team in the world.
barcelona are still 3rd in the league and are focussing more on the champion's league. frank rijkaard has already won 2 la liga's so they're probably less motivated when it comes to playing teams like levante and real murcia.

remember eto'o's goal attempt when messi played into deco who played it to eto'o with a backheel? that was inside the box!

To ALL those who said C Ronaldo is the BEST player on Earth (on my thread in this section) and is even better than Zidane was and oh surely better than Messi.
Hope you learned your football lessons tonight. Messi is far superior in ALL categories, his touch, skill, speed, movement, he's simply beautiful to watch, and he motivates a team like sissy boy Ronaldo could only dremam of!
Also, to those who said I'm 'jealous', PAH! C Ronaldo is an excellent player, but Messi is on a different level entirely.

What? No, they didn't! Twice, maybe three times at most including the one you mention there. Nearly every single shot they had was outside the box, and only Henry's was dangerous, the others were all comfortable saves for VdS.

i know this shouldnt go here, but after tonights game and Ronaldos lack of getting involved really (arm throwing and just complaining) it dawned on me that United with him and Berabtov throwing there arms up (rooney too but he works harder to get the ball back and gets booked normaly by doing so) might not atchaly work, when both are off there game they are both lazy fucks really, really cant see the united team being able to carry both when they have off games
as for the game, it was an alright game, some good passing and all that, but lacked the spark in the final 3rd which kinda killed the game really, Chealse vs Liverpool was by far a worse game, but at least had chances which made it more intresting IMO
