Yeah fair point and everything is possible although Bale had no connection to Tottenham in any way shape or form before we signed him where as Kane did or does.

If he does leave then accept that Real Madrid is the natural step because that's the enevtible move as it's happened before with Bale and Modric and therefore it won't be such a big blow to the fans but if we continue on this upward trajectory then there will be no need for him to want to play for anyone else, he can become an absolute legend for us...hence why I bought up Totti and Giggs who had many suitors through out their career who could pay them handsomely and guarantee them trophy's however they chose to stay at their clubs, you can add Gerrard to that as well.

As Fans we can only enjoy players while they are here I don`t think the club wanted to sell Berbatov, Modric or Bale but in the end those players wanted to go and the money met our valuation.

the difference with harry and unlike other players is he's a yid through n through.. the fans relate to this!.. times gone by there where many who bled blue n white but not know ... he's different, he's an exception now.. .. selling harry at any cost is not an option for levy nor thfc..
been going to the lane over 40 years fella and feel at last we're on the verge of what we all want ... success ... why would you want to sell the cornerstone of your future!

I never want to sell our best players...... I didn`t want to sell Bale even for a world record fee but if in the future Kane wants to go and the fee is crazy then we sell and life moves on. I really don`t see the club selling if Kane does not want to go...

Sometimes it's just bloody good to see a player stay at one club from start to finish... There's still a nostalgia about that

Exactly. They're a rare breed but have a deep, significant understanding of what the club means to the supporters. Scholes was the same. One of my in laws has connections with Utd and he once told me that Scholes was so committed to his club that his new contract negotiations literally took minutes to agree. These type of players are the heartbeat of a squad, and if you're lucky enough to have a few in your squad that are also technically decent you have a distinct edge over your rivals. We'd be insane to sell him right now.
I think it was Scholes that didn't have an agent. To be fair, he was that good that his new contracts probably always made him the highest paid player at the club so there wouldn't have been much negotiating to do.

It actually used to anger me when the likes of Beckham & Giggs etc would be getting all the attention from the media, when the truth of the matter is Scholes was, in my opinion, better than all of them. Guess he just wasn't enough of a pretty boy

We would be very serious contenders for the title with this guy.

Right now it's the only place I feel we're short. Berahino would help, but this guy is another level

Why would we be contending for the title if him and Harry play the same position?

Not sure they'd play together, so it would be one or the other and seeing as Harry's done very well we'd be in just about the same position as we are imo.

Being able to sub Kane off (thus keeping him more fresh for matches he starts) and having an impact sub at striker could be the difference between draws and wins. To be honest, I totally agree with Ossie's statement.

I don't. Purely because fans of every club say this about attacking players. When if you're subbing off a good attacking player for another one you might only be breaking even. Heck look at our last few games, we sub the attacking players and sometimes the rest of the team is too knackered to even get the ball to them.

When if you really look at it we're in the position we are in because of our defense.

If you look at the stats on the Sky article that was doing the rounds the other day, Kane's sprinting stats are down last season. If he knew that we had another centre forward to come on at 70 mins, he could raise those sprints again though.

Maybe, but it's still all conjecture.

Just like it's conjecture that Batshuayi would suddenly fit in this league and fit in this team.

It's about squad, not first XI

Right now the difference between us and the other teams fighting is squad depth. We lose Kane and we lose a lot. With Michy we have someone to compete with Kane, to rotate, and someone that you can sub on without losing much in quality and without needing to change style.
If you sub Kane off for Saido, the flow of our attack changes. They are different.

Michy is pretty different to Kane too in overall buildup play and defensive pressing though. Even attacking wise Michy is fairly different as well.

Batshuayi had 6 goals off the bench last season as well. I would say that shows he knows how to make an impact off the bench.

I think that was Scholes own doing. He didn't want to be in the limelight, so he rarely did interviews, you didn't see him in ads, or magazines, never snapped out on the town etc. I'm actually surprised he became a pundit when he retired.

Breaking | Vagner Love has arrived in Monaco ahead of a transfer from Brazilian side Corinithians.

Monaco signing another Striker - he's 31 so on an 18 month contract. Monaco also have the injured Falcao on loan at Chelsea as well.

Might Batashuayi's exit be more likely now ?

If he didn't play for Marseille, potentially...
