Was watching SSN earlier and they had it on the sidebar as an upcoming game live at 2.05am. Pretty sure it's being shown live

Why was Frank Lampard even in the squad? Gerrard has played what 2 and a half games? At least 1 was after the squad was announced. Don't they know Gerrard and and Lampard can't play in a team lol. The front line they put out could be good though

Money and eyes on TV. MLS is still basically 'fifth most watched' sport (if that) and as much as it angers me to see them naming two guys that hadn't played a single match, I understand *why* they did it.

Even with the league growing and improving, it's still an uphill battle here for viewership, and that's the only thing that's going to get the league more money to grow further.


edit: I was actually working in Denver through last weekend and there were billboards everywhere, so they're not skimping on local marketing. There were even billboards for the U20 match vs the Club America U20s.
