As long as united were interested we never really stood a chance. Doesn't make it any easier to take though, MS would have been absolutely perfect for us :(

Honestly cant understand MS going to Man u. As mentiones above they have a several top players competing for two places in midfield. Lets hope it will cause unsettlement in the squad. Feel Van Gaal is acting a bit like me when playing football manger when it comes to transfers.
Why because the top four clubs are encouraging and breeding a class of footballer who wants more and more and is getting lazier and lazier: Sitting on their respective arse's for half the season and still putting their hand up for a medal if they win the league or trophy what a bunch of lazy unadventurous footballers. The team that wins the league for Spurs will be feted like gods where as those who have won a medal for one of the top 4 will slip away in mediocrity.

Not sure why people were so convinced we'd still get him. Koeman said ages ago that United were the only team in the hunt. We were clearly only monitoring the situation in case United happened to pull out.

I always though the price was a stumbling block for us, and as others have said, we weren't really going to be able to compete with Utd

How the fuck are Man Utd going to line up in midfield this season? Is there anyone there we'd take?

Ah well, it was always unlikely. Maybe Man Utd would be willing to part ways with Ander Herrera.

Genius by Utd. With Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin in midfield they will recoup their fees in no time purely by the cost of all those letters on fans shirts.

how you ladies suffer...its the same every season...gnashing of teeth, wringing of hands, tears of joy followed by tears of God only knows, hoping beyond hope for the ungettable. Thank God this one is over, it was starting to repeat on me like the Leandro fricken' Damiao's. Where's that Eno, Jeeves? No, not the bald ambient one, you idiot, the bloody antacid!

Not too hard to figure out that he will play more often than not.

Schweinsteiger is now 30, and managed less than 18 starts per season on average for 4 years. He loves an injury.

Blind is shit.

Carrick is THIRTY FIVE

Fellaini failed as a CM, and hit form again further up the pitch.

Herrera, is up and down, in more ways than one.

The hilarious thing is, they still won't win the league, because they have the same shit centre halves, and 1 centre forward.
