Yep i was expecting our game to be what the Man City game became. So pleased that it didnt though! Is this a safe space to admit that i did chuck a fiver on a Norwich win at half time when they were 180/1 although i think i placed it because i dont think ive ever seen odds quite like that before on a spurs match.

Yeah I was trying to be positive but was shitting myself in the lead up to the game. My fear was that it would turn into something like the Brentford game where we just looked very bland and couldn't get the front 3 involved at all. I don't watch MOTD or anything these days and I know I don't need to to know how bad Norwich are but I didn't think they would be as bad as they were. Maybe because when they came to our ground they actually played quite well if I remember correctly and were unfortunate to initally be undone by a Lucas screamer.

It only took a few minute to see the pattern of the game and for me to relax though, especially when Kane dropped deep a few times in space and unchallenged, must have been the first time in quite a few games that he'd actually been able to do so.

Not that particular move … Bentancur just passed to PEH and realised that no one was tracking him and their Defense was static and ball watching. It literally was school boy defending that did not require any preparation for. That tactic would not work against a competent semi-pro team as there was nothing clever or complex about the simple give and go routine. It really was very basic.

Superb Conte. Achieved what Jose failed to do in 2 seasons.

Reduced the squad and everyone playing for one another again

That's a good thought actually.

Jose actually bloated and umbalanced the squad and then mismanaged it by dumping players after a single bad performance, changing system every week.

Poch managed the squad much better too. A smaller group of players he could rely on.

We still need depth but it should be done with sense and not just try to add for the sake of it.

Have another look. Bentancur passes forward to Son and immediately starts his forward run. Son lays it back to Pierre who hits the ball over the top. That's why its called a third man run. That tactic can be used in either half of the field against teams that play a high line, or a tight defence.
