LEANDRO

He wants to play for spurs mate

Has he always wanted to or is now because he's just a huge follower and wants to tag along with his Brazilian Buddies?

I think a lot here feel as though if he really wanted to come here, he'd probably be here by now is why I ask.

Leandro will be this season's Lloris. Last day of the window they will come crawling to us needing to sell and we will snag him for crazy cheap. Imagine selling Defoe for £9m and picking up Leandro for £12m. Almost makes the horrible saga worth it.

Oh this isn't the Leandro thread? Huh. Paulinho then: that comparison image from jair is good but doesn't really show Paulinho's goalscoring ability because its only over a few games. Dude scored 8 in 38 in 2011, 10 in 36 in 2012, and so far 8 in 26 this year including internationals. Plus as we saw on Thursday he's a real threat on corners. (y)

Yeah, my latest theory is Paulinho is Sandro with a nose for a goal.

He really has got some ability in the air though and a strange skill for striking a ball through and off a keeper, yet still scoring.
I love him already. We're gonna win everything. ;)

Probably a combination of sheer power and a little bit of spin.

And for those who don't know Portuguese, a translation:

Paulinho signed for Tottenham and will not defend over Corinthians. The information was given by Giuliano Bertolucci, manager of the player, in an interview with Bradesco Sports FM .

The transfer to Europe had already been announced by Crack Neto last week.Currently, the athlete is serving the Brazilian team in the Confederations Cup.

The English club will pay around 20 million euros (£ 57 million), the value of a penalty fine stipulated by the Corinthians. How has half the rights of the athlete, Timon receive approximately £ 28 million. The other part goes to the Audax-SP, time revealed that the steering wheel.

Paulinho is a target for European clubs since the Libertadores title last year. At the time, the board alvinegra could hold him to compete in the World.

I know it's a YouTube clip but there's some excellent stuff on display there. The goal at 4:50 is sublime, we really do not do enough of that. I think the word that sums him up for me is 'direct'. He doesn't fuck about with tricks and turns, he just gets the ball forward into the attacking positions and helps out the attackers too. He may not be an intricate passer but he'll certainly provide goals from midfield, and he'll help us win some balls in the air at set pieces. I can see why it was a toss up between him and Ramires for the NT as they're similar players, but I'm guessing Paulinho's aerial ability and power just edged it for him in Scolari's eyes. I really like Ramires as well, so I hope he can come in and do that kind of job for us.
