he more than anyone needs the right team structure around him to allow him to make those runs into the box and add something in the final third which is where his strength is - I am so much less concerned about him coming good than I am with Lamela who simply looks like a little boy lost
Certainly agree about Paulinho. The difficulty is we're stacked out with players that are arguably best suited to the number 10 role and wide forwards whose natural game is to cut in. All that means is that the area around the box can become congested and there is less opportunity for a box to box midfielder arriving late to make a difference. It's doable - Lampard has made a career from it in a Chelsea team which has played a number of formations (4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-1-4-1 to name just three) but it needs the right players around him to make it work.
