Put this in the loanwatch thread, but might as well put it here to since some folks don't check that thread.
Looks like he's toughened up men's football wise already. Some lovely weighted passes as always.

I'd always thought he was a huge talent just lacking in that competitive edge. From that video evidence there if he keeps that streak up I have no doubt he will be a world class central midfielder. He's starting to get that competitive edge at senior level with Villa. It's not always apparent as he has that languid style, but he's the type of player that the game looks like it comes easy to, and he'll always get a bit more time on the ball than normal players.
I hadn't really seen much of him before the Villa
Loan save England games and youth videos posted by the great guys in the youth threads.
From what I've seen I think he'll end up a being a top player.
I think maybe he'll end up being and expansive 6 rather than a box to box 8, but only once he improves the defensive side of this game.
But he could also end up being an 8. He could be either.
I think once he returns from the loan he'll be ready to stake a claim & he's got one of the best managers in the game to fine tune him.
Winks is a safer bet at the moment so I can see why Poch was giving him minutes in the am role rather than cm last season, but it's clear he is a cm.
I think though his upside is higher than Winks, he's got a little of Carrick in him with regards how naturally the game comes to him. He's more athletic than Carrick though he just seems to see the game & make it look easy like those types do.
I'd be shocked if he doesn't end up being a fantastic player.
Sissoko has done a job this season for us but that does not mean that we can't replace him with a more talented player.I'd keep dembele and sissoko who's starting to come good
Give him a chance and he might improve quite a bit more, plus who's to say a replacement wiĺl end up a successSissoko has done a job this season for us but that does not mean that we can't replace him with a more talented player.
I am glad you explained yourself as I was about to blast you! I agree with the above sentimentsWhen I said miles behind winks I didn’t necessarily mean in terms of ability more profile.Onomah is a sub in the championship.Winks is now a full England international, trusted to play at the bernabeu and most likely off to the World Cup.If Onomah comes back he will have a lot of catching up to do.Where as before start season they were more or less on a par, well winks slightly ahead.
I'd keep dembele and sissoko who's starting to come good
simon Wright @simonwright3692 16hUnbelievable tekkers.
That system is for big games.with everyone fit that 3 could consist of dembele wanyama dier winks sissoko eriksen dele Lamela .Im afraid Onomah would be way down the list.Onomah would be perfect for the new CM3 systems we are using now.
We played it against Everton, Swansea and West Ham. Not just for big games - just implemented in a different way in big games. We used a 3 of Dier Sissoko Eriksen in those 3 matches. Perfect position for Onomah. That system is for big games.with everyone fit that 3 could consist of dembele wanyama dier winks sissoko eriksen dele Lamela .Im afraid Onomah would be way down the list.
The red lions coreA midfield of....
Dier
Winks onomah
Obviously you can switch dier with wanyama and chuck in sissoko/dembele.
