Amazing how bad his touch is. It must be at least partially due to confidence, he can't have had the career he's had and be this bad.

His work rate and positioning today were fine. He is a big lad and hard to contain. But his first touch and distribution need a lot of work. In my mind he is a CM and he keeps getting pushed wide. I suppose in Poch's system he likes players to be multi-dimensional on the pitch.

There is a very good player in there somewhere. I don't know if it Is confidence, lack of focus or lack of playing time, but he needs to improve and be ready when he comes on. Janssen is in the same boat.

Watched the match highlights. The guy needs to go.
Not only is his first touch truly atrocious for someone who gets paid to play football, the thing that got me was his reaction following both goals. All the other players were smiling and celebrating. His body language spoke volumes - didn't smile, barely celebrated. Clearly has not changed at all since his Newcastle days. Have to cut our losses

Under no circumstances could you play sissoko centre mid with his heavy first touch and pass. He wouldn't be able to keep possession in tight areas, it would be suicidal to play him there.

I think he's low on confidence. No way he's as bad as he shows in spells with poor touches etc. I'll go with whatever Poch decides.

I dont think Sissoko is an embarassment. I think some fans in this thread is an embarassment. If you do not cheer on, support and get behind a player, you have no bloody right to demand anything from them. Unless you paid fully for their transfer fee or wages.

I hope he doesn't read this forum.

That said, it might not be a bad thing if he did.

That said, he did float a lovely ball in that was inches too high for, I think Son to head. Can't quite remember.

That said, I've done a fair few floaters in my time, and they are largely akin to Sissokos performance today...

This misses the point entirely.

He's basically stealing a living from what I have seen of all of his performances in a Spurs shirt.

I disagree with your assesment of his performance for Spurs. He has not been great but to imply he has been useless is simply a pile of shite.

ya, as Ive pointed out, without Lamela he's been important if only for filling out the side with a competent player. Today if not him it would have been Onomah. He hasnt impressed as far as Im concerned but he's played a bit part in the season.

I'm all for giving players time to settle but sissoko is not new to the speed of the league. At 27 he should be hitting his prime, and yet he looks so weak in certain areas of his game. Zaha would be a huge upgrade on Sissoko IMO.

Some of his first time passes are good, then other are complete toilet.

Then he takes a touch to control a pass and the ball springs 1m away from his foot, how?

So much build up play was wasted yesterday once the ball reached him.

It's not often Lavy gets mugged but Ashley did him over good and proper. I'm still staggered we paid £30m for him. I'd be pissed if we'd paid £10m for him. He's fucking dreadful.

I was sat next to a Newcastle supporter (And he was surprisingly eloquent and educated) on a plane the other day and he could still not believe that they managed to get 30M for him. Still completely stunned that they had mugged us like that. He also confirmed, as has been said by a lot of people here, that Sissoko is not worthy and does not have the basic skills to be called a professional football player and that in fact he is just a Mercenary.
