Another one I said!

My boss is a raving City fan and claims Haaland is beautiful.

I've reminded him I'm a homosexual and my opinion counts more, but apparently it doesn't.
Your boss is seriously deluded lol.

Haaland is clearly the ugliest player in the English league and possibly the world!

Skipp, as an opposition fan said in the what are opponents fans saying about us thread, just had a very rough paper round during his teenage years! 😂😂

Skipp apparently joining the leadership committee. I think this is fine, he sounds very mature and the players need to have room to come together. It's never about the best players or certain starters being a part of that. Its just having people who speak up for the rest of the squad. Very happy to see him get this recognition in the squad. I think he'll be very reasonable and happy to work hard under any given manager. He has a bit of Mason about him and he was part of the change early under Poch. You don't have to be the star to help influence change in culture.
It's good to have someone who came through the youth on this committee, especially if/when Kane does go. It will help academy players when they're struggling to go to someone who has been in their position.

Skipp was touted as a future captain by Mourinho as well.

I reckon Skipp is a player who will hopefully look a lot better next season if we improve our defence and are coached better.

There’s been a few negative posts about him in match threads recently, saying he’s no better than PEH etc but personally I feel there’s more to come from him.

We’ve not seen him partnered with anyone but PEH either aside from that one match alongside Sarr against Milan, which he excelled in.

Would be interesting to see him alongside Bissouma or Bentancur.

Bissouma and Skipp would certainly be my first choice until a Bentancur comes back.

Skipp will be a much better player in a team that keeps the ball. He is very tidy in possession and when we are structured better he will look so much better.

It's a shame that we haven't seen this version of Skipp this season. Breaking up play, wriggling past opposition players, playing some lovely cross-field passes and even putting his deceptive acceleration to good use by driving up the field with the ball - these are qualities that a more progressive manager (hopefully Slot) can build on to give us that midfield platform to control games.

He started strong but he has been overplayed IMO. He needed to be rotated with Sarr to help both of them to develop but instead he has been flogged to death by continually being overrun in a two man midfield when nearly every other team has three in there.

Constantly been played out of position imo, he is are best holding midfielder, peh is a good destroyer but chases the ball, skipp is far more disciplined and keeps position much better, sat just behind 2 of bissouma/bentancur/peh he will look fantastic.
No one looks good in the 2 vs 3 or 4 in midfield we have been playing.

We need to shift to 3 in CM. Do that and we'll actually see our midfield exert some control over games instead of chasing around trying to put out fires. Even Hojbjerg would look vastly improved if we did that.

Yeah, I'm a huge OS fan but I have been a little disappointed with him in this spell. Obviously not ideal circumstances to come into but I don't think he's shown what he's really capable of. At times he displays the Modric-style wriggle away from trouble and break lines, but his passing has been disappointing. If you look at what an upgrade Bissouma was when he came on at Villa, it doesn't compliment Skipp's performance. Still hopeful he can be a top player though.

I think there are many hoping Skipp develops into a decent player, but that hope is based on optimism more than reality . He’s not demonstrated to me that he has all the attributes needed to be a main stay player in our midfield. He doesn’t excel in anything, so for a club chasing champions league qualification, he simply ain’t good enough.

Never got the hype - obviously he’s better than what he’s showing atm but obviously he’s nowhere near the player some thought he was either!

if he wasnt a academy lad this thread would be a lot busier, average prem player at best, which is fair enough because we are heading that way as well

Hope to god this ‘players leadership group’ gets disbanded by whoever comes in.
Having Dier, Lloris and Skipp on it is a sad state of affairs

He tries and in some games towards the end he showed heart and fight but left in terms of quality, there seems to be little to be hopeful about from what I've seen.
