Anyone know what's happening with him?

Played very well throughout all of the US tour and I was expecting him to get some time in the season, thought Poch might have liked him. Is he injured, or are we looking to loan him or something?

His injured, if he had as much luck with injuries as he was talented he would be proberly starting games.

I have like this kid for a long time, he has always had great technical ability and superb vision. The only thing to have held him back was his size/build, if he was built like Rooney was at 16 he would have been a first team regular in my opinion.

It seems that with the arrival of Stambouli and the apparent exits of Holtby and Sandro (transfer window isn't done and none of these signings have been confirmed so this can change) that Mason is indeed in Poch's plans.

I'd say we are left with:

Capoue, Dembele, Bentaleb, Mason for the 2 CM spots.
Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli, Lennon, Townsend, Paulinho (who probably convinced Poch at AM in the second leg much more than at CM in the first leg) for the 3 AM spots.

Kane can fill in the AM 3 and Paulinho/Veljkovic can fill in at CM if necessary.

May be an outgoing/incoming in the attacking mids to come as well, but for now I have to say that signing a CM and letting 2 go would suggest Mason will play some games.

I was at the game in Chicago on the US tour, I was very impressed with Mason. I hope this injury is minor and he gets a chance to stay healthy and contribute this season.

The talent is obviously there if he could ever get a solid run of good health in.

I remember watching the Wilshere vs Bostock cup game a long time ago and coming away impressed with Townsend and Mason. I really hope the kid makes it because he's got the ability.

Not sure as what will happen but Veljkovic was exclusively a DM last season
