The foundations that the club, poch ect have layed down thus far are truly going to be tested this season i fear. Im not so sure things are going to well this coming season. Alot of f***** off fans including myself.

I stand by this despite the negative/funny/spam ratings. Everybody had better buckle up for this season when the transfer window closes and we have bought not even a bag of peanuts. Oh and with a squad which is depleted by injuries and inconsistencies.

Joy.

Get Toby signed up, Rose firing again and Lucas flying after a pre-season with us and we'll be stronger than last season. Oh and Winks will become the player we all hope he will :wacky:

What’s that old saying? ... you’re only as good as your last win

Just hope whatever position we end up in at the end of the season, nobody better fucking dare to point a finger at Poch and Blame the manager

One thing's for certain: If we finish in the top four again, nobody will be on here praising Levy for not paying vastly over the odds for the likes of Zaha and Grealish. They'll be too busy banging on about the next shiny new thing we should be buying.

Or how we would have won the league if we had bought one player.

Being banned from the fun all summer has made me more positive! Not being able to complain about a lack of ambition readjusts ones priorities. Big shout out to the leadership for locking me out and making me a bit sunnier :)

If we have a good season (top 4 & trophy of some description) then the transfer window just gone will be forgotten.

I fucking love this team. So happy the window is closed because there's too much obsession over who people want us to sign. Not enough over the players that are already here. I just can't wait for the season to start.

We have a young ever improving squad working under a great manager, an exciting academy and an amazing stadium which brings us back home this season. The transfer window is always a distraction while we wait for the season to start anyway.

It's actually amazing how we finished 3rd last season when you consider we were away from home. Not to mention the injuries to Rose and Lamela that ran from the previous season, and injuries to Winks, Alderweireld and Wanyama last season.

I expect us to be ready to go from the off especially with our 12 world cup players having kept in shape through the summer. I'm tipping Moura to be a star this season and Winks to show us what both Spurs and England have been missing.

We just need to get a decent start off in the first month and then the season truly starts when our stadium opens. The new stadium is going to be rocking and hopefully we make it a fortress early on.

Out of curiosity - do people think that we can better break down defensive teams next season without having signed anyone? Was it more of a personnel issue, a coaching issue or does Poch need to be more flexible and decisive with subs?

I think we really need a bit of real quality in reserve for the really big games, as we cannot rely on Kane,Dele and Eriksen all the time (eg FACUP semi final last year). At very least I was really hoping for Grealish as I think he would be a good signing (there is still time I hope!). I think we will struggle to hit top 4 this year, but I think Moura might come through and surprise a few people.
My real worry is that Poch, Kane etc might feel that they have reached their ceiling here and move on, as it will take us a long time to get back to where we are now. I really think Levy should have been bolder in the transfer market in the past and we might have had a league title by now when a lot of the other top teams were in disarray. It is going to be very difficult now without some real investment, which is why eventually I think we will get taken over.

PS Having ducked in and out of the transfer forum this summer on read only, and witnessed the shyte postings and meltdowns in there it sort of feels like a positive advantage at being banned from posting!. :censored:

Moura available for full season. Lamela available and getting to form after long injury with games he got last season, same for Rose. Toby back in frame. Foyth, KWP year older and more ready.

How can anyone find a positive in standing still while all those around us strengthen, and if we do not have a successful season who do you think will take the blame. Pochettino or Levy.

I'll find positivity in results, transfers are just means to that. So lets just see wether we have succesful season or not.

Agree with all of that. The more I read about Grealish, the more keen I was on us signing him.

We really need to relook at our scouting system, if they didn't sign anyone for now, but signed someone for the future we could be happy. But doing no business what so ever is a fucking joke.
But when I go to the matches this season I won't be handing over any £££ to the club for merchandise, pints etc. Sky can do one as well. So I'm going to be better off.
Remember the stick Wenger and Arsenal got when they only signed Cech.... Well Levy and co need to feel the heat from this.
