Eriksen. Vertonghen was amazing and couple of others but Eriksen was in control of everything. Next time Kane should let him shoot FKs especially when he plays like that.

There was one moment in the 2nd half where Martial had him one on one in the left hand corner of the penalty area. Against pretty much any other CB in the league Martial does his stop and cut inside move, with his phenomenal acceleration, and glides past, but Davy boy just matched him and took it off his toes.

I let out a little whoop on my sofa, I enjoyed it so much. Lucky it’s leather, so easily wipes clean...

Special mentions for Verts, Son, Dele, Dembele and Trippier .. but all were as good today as the players were bad on Saturday. Eriksen May MOTM though for a beautiful performance. In particular with Dier and Dembele bossing the middle we saw Eriksen, Son and Dele play some spellbinding football. A committed, brave, skilful performance
Exactly, and that allowed us to dominate the game! Thought the CMs controlled the midfield, and Dembele constantly put Pogba, Matic on the back foot, kept possession when he needed to, drove forward when he needed to, and passed when he needed to.

Dembele had a beast of a game, gave us the initiative, and created space for our AMs. I gave the motm to Eriksen in the end, because he was unplayable at times, and just beautiful to watch!

Dele for his work rate and fight, great to see. Trippier close 2nd then Eriksen. Loris saved a goal with a strong hand and
Ben Davies had one of his best games for us tonight. His tackling was outrageous.
up until this season wasn’t a Davies fan but he’s been excellent this season and done a beautiful last ditch tackle today that probably would have resulted in a goal otherwise, great performance today

I thought Dele was outstanding. Eriksen; Dembele, Vertonghen and Kane all had excellent games as well. Trippier grew into it well, too. Hugo did everything he was asked. A really good team performance though, everyone really putting in a shift. Great to watch.

Eriksen, king of the Wasteland Bullies

Maybe because I sat through the abomination of the "Lad's it's Tottenham" 3-5, and was even at the ten man City 3-4 from 3-0 up, or maybe it's just because this is football and football can ram a cricket bat up your arse sideways, and often has, that missing chance after chance, wasting situation after situation to finally kill this game, had me twitching like Inspector Dreyfus after a caffeine enema.

I'm with You there as I suffered thru those 2 nightmares

Eriksen is the heartbeat of the team.

Probably the most underrated player in europe, thank god. But he has to play well.

What a fkin performance that was. Shame MOTD decided to compile a United edits piece, and the media are trying to make more of Kane being in their half at KO instead of the Alli stonewall pen and series of decisions made by Marriner in the first half.

Verts imperious again, surely player of the season to date?

Rest of back 4 also outstanding, with the fb pairing I like the least really taking it to them, in contrast with a lack of ambition in previous home games.

Dembele and Eriksen bossed the game in tandem, hope the former can get himself up again for Sunday. He's not ready for the heap yet,

The forwards played really well but forgot their shooting boots otherwise the scoreline could have been embarrassing for Mouninho. Tube in stitches on the way home, looking at Fellainis heat map!

Interestingly harry kane has the lowest rating in the harry kane team today
Not sure I would agree. He’s play and positioning was brilliant and gave players like Alli son and Eriksen more space than they are used too. His problem yesterday was he’s shooting wasn’t up to his usual very high standard. Put Llorente in there and it’s different sorry. Think about first goal he’s header give Alli and Eriksen the space to get in the box and score! There weren’t any weak players I actually thought Trippier especially in the first half gave the ball away a good bit, and didn’t get good ball into the box. But he did do well getting forward and pushing Sanchez back. Over all though everyone played well and did there part. MoM for me was Eriksen but then Kane for his leadership position play and tackling back. Just his presence scared United and gave our other players who also played well a chance to shine, and shine they did! Verts also brilliant game.

Trippier my pick today, sick of reading the knee-jerky bile spewed about him recently...thought Kane, Alli and Eriksen were fantastic.

Best silly yellow card Alli's ever had. Actually worth it! Lol.

The funniest/most mental stuff has been the trend amongst many posters lately to insist that he’d definitely be sold in January - which never made any sense at all but practically became the de facto answer on here whenever his name came up.

If we can get a draw and Liverpool and beat Arsenal I will be very pleased
Prior to the match I was concerned about our CM pairing. Well, the first 15-20 minutes (goal aside) I thought I was correct. Then the game literally turned on its head and United didnt get a look in. I can only recall 1 good save from Lloris. Dier and Dembele were virtually impossible to get past.

Eriksen was a maestro supreme today. MOTM.

Vertonghen was a close 2nd.

Demble and DIer formidable.

Dele, play like that for 90 mins every game and you'll be some player.

The most improved for me was Trippier. Excellent game. He looked sharp with his passing and fit as a butchers dog, looked really quick out there at times.

Davies and Sanchez were also excellent. Still hard to belive that Sanchez hasn;t needed a settling in period. What a player.

As a whole, it was a cracking team effort and I don;t think anyone was poor as it's all the cogs turning in unison that make a performance like that.

Only possible critisism I can muster is that our players were really limp ankled infront of goal.

A special shout to the referee, who, despite his best efforts couldn't fuck it up for Spurs. He had a slightly better second half.
there were 2 really great saves from Hugo and then the one where he smothered it after a mistake at the legs of the striker. Any one of those went in it could have been a different game. I thought United played very well after scoring and I felt they would score any minute but we weathered the storm and started to control the midfield better. But they had 20 mins where they were on top and probably should have put at least one away.

What a night at Wembley. Biggest crowd. Best team performance of the year - including Real Madrid.

Was Dembele's best game for the year - if not one of his best in years. He just absolutely dominated across the middle of the ground.

But was he better than Eriksen who was simply everywhere - showing for the ball. Making us tick. Working hard both ways. Pressing like a mad man. Sublime passing and movement.

But was he better than Jan who was a rock in defence and made their attack have to run directions they didn't want by constantly bringing the ball out of defence with surging runs.

But was he any better than Sanchez or Trippier or Dier?

Going with Dembele just because it was a timely reminder of what he can do. COYS!

Some of the quick one touch passing and movement in the first half, when the players were being hounded and hurried by ManU was amazing .. the best I've seen us do it. My pooper was tightening as we wriggled over their every tackle/block, me thinking we should just clear it/spread play ... But during these few tricky moments our boys looked like a Barca-hybrid.
Watched it with a couple of ManU mates* ... They were in awe.
Loved it - Utterly proud to be Spurs through and through.

My MotM ... Christianharryallimousa Vertongsanchdavillorisippidier ...
