Any stats out there on whether Sanchez completed a forward pass all game?

Toby and Rodon for the rest of the season. Aurier and Reggie alongside. Don't change it anymore.

What turgid shit. I remember when it used to be fun watching us play. I feel obligated to watch but my expectations are so low now. I was fully expecting them to score as we seem to have such a weak mentality through the team and a manager who clearly doesn't motivate them in any way whatsoever.

That's fine in principle but even with that four I would bet that they also have a mare and then people will be calling for others.

Ultimately I think that is the best we have. Definitely will have some mistakes but Dier, Doherty, Sanchez have fuck loads of mistakes in them. Just let the 4 settle and get some rhythm of playing together. Chopping it every game is ridiculous and is part of the reason we look so shit at the back.

Hard to go past Kane for motm For his goals. Might have had the hatrick but can’t help thinking Lamela should have released Son.

Lloris did well with the double save so credit there.

Poor Performances by Tanganga and Sanchez, that first goal just unbelievable. For the second Newcastle goal the scorer ran at least 30 metres and was skilfully watched by Lamela and the Le Celso neither bothering to track the run, then we have Sanchez and Rodon getting in each other’s way In another bit of comical defending.

Sanchez playing with Toby usually seems solid. Both speak Dutch

The script to beat us is just so easy...
Press the defenders (particularly Sanchez). Mistakes WILL happen.
As the mistakes increase, the confidence declines, the team drops deeper and just loses all control of the game.

Has there even been one game this year where we have handled a team that have pressed us well??

I wouldnt blame Reggie, i blame the midfielders who kept passing to the opposition instead of the wide open space in front of reggie. Fucking turgid back and sideways as usual, no one except Bale and Kane seem to be able to pass the ball decently, Gio has been massively overared

Lloris 7.5 - great double save first half.
Tanganga 6 - not as good as Aurier just yet
Sanchez 3 - car crash of a performance, messed up basic clearances throughout.
Rodon 7 - best defender
Reguilon 6 - defensively weak
Højbjerg 5 - offered very little protection and missed a tackle for their first.
Ndombele 6 - so talented but did not make enough happen
Lo Celso 6 - looked rusty
Kane 8 - we do not deserve him
Moura 6 - fairly anonymous
Vinicius 5 - cannot link play

Lamela 7
Son 6
Bale n/a

Mourinho 4 - conceded 22 shots against the most shot shy team in the league. Lucky not to lose. Still no real plan (other than hope Kane scores) or team shape.

Look the defence needs to be set for the rest of the season Jose has chopped and changed its clear the quality isn't there and he too has to take responsibility.

People are quick to jump on Sanchez to re-enforce their judgement I told you saw mentality, its clear for all to see... However the game perviously at Viila there was praise amongst the majority.

No doubt we all know the defence needs investment, personally though, I'd like to see this defence kept together until the rest of the season.

The scary thought is a few of our fans are calling out Kane for missing a couple of chances .
All I can say if all strikers were to take all chances the match scores would be akin to a basketball match .
To lay blame at the only player who is reliable is quite scary for the club as a whole and smells of desperation on the part of people who think like that .

The problem yesterday was Sanchez. Every ball that came to him was an imminent danger and the rest of the team suffered it. Then there were some players at a weak level, but defending a team is the mainstay of a team and yesterday it was a joke.
