Bergwijn - came on too late to judge

Jose - Not sure. Ultimately his tactics and decisions got us 5 goals away from home. But he set the team up badly and the team looked really clueless first half. Maybe a 7.

No-one gets a 10 as that requires a perfect 90 minutes and quite frankly, even Kane and Son were not at the races the first 40 minutes. Winks managed to get himself up a a 5 with a solid second half, but my god he was awful first half. Moura looked way below his normal levels of effort - I was expecting much more from him given his place is now under threat.

Winks looks like he’s struggling with Hojbjerg for this imagined spot of a sitting midfielder who doesn’t have to press or make forward runs. It’s so bizarre and doesn’t work at all - they can play together if one is pressing and putting pressure on striker turning and the other covers, but both seemed to want to cover.

Doherty still looks like a fish out of water in the back 4, I don’t mean to dampen positivity but that is a puzzling looking signing. He’s so slow of feet and compared to Serge’s defensive instincts I’m not so sure he’s much of an improvement.

Dier and Dav play like they’re still 21, so many rookie errors and poor touches at the back. Still though, I really think persisting with them is going to pay results as you can see signs of an imperious partnership when there’s adequate midfield cover.

Aside from that , I was very pleased with individual performances. Kane played 5-6 unbelievable passes today, like prime Eriksen level balls, and Son was insane with his clinical finishing. We can beat teams on the break alone with Bale in for Lucas. I maintain GLC is our best midfielder by miles, though TN may have saved the match with that turn and pass to Kane for Son’s goal. Lamela was actually an exceptional sub as well, and I really have to give it to José in fixing it at halftime.

Lloris - 6
Davies - 5
Dier/Sanchez - 4.5
Doherty - 4.5
PEH - 3 first half, 7 second half.. 5?
Winks - 4.5
TN - 6
GLC - 8
Lamela - 7.5
Son - 9.5
Kane - 9.5
Lucas - 5

oh my God

Harry Kane , he did what Son and Ali was supposed to do..he has become the best midfilder and striker..

but to take on the bergkamp role at such a young age must be frustrating

Pretty much spot on. But I thought Tanguy was dealt a bad hand being the only creative spark in a hoofball 1st half team. I'd have given him a 7

I assume the 2nd half was a disaster given the reaction to Ndombele's sub on here :cautious:

Fantastic second half but we have to be cautious, Southampton’s defence looks bad even in the Sunday league

Kane and Son.......................... 9.5
Lloris............................................7.5
Ndombele and LoCelso........7
Rest ..............................................4-6 depending on who are your favourites.

Bloody VAR will be the death of me. Can they put VAR as a cause of death?
Preferred the lottery of human officials instant decisions
to the scientific accuracy of VAR several minutes later.
We got lucky for the second game running after an indifferent performance
so better a lucky manager than a good one. (Napoleon attributed)

Son the obvious, but for me it’s Kane. Out of this world today

Kane & Sonny excellent, Lloris very good and we are always, always better with GLC on the pitch. I could understand taking Ndombele off in the context of his fitness and the booking. But hopefully not long before we see PEH, GLC and him as the three in the middle. We need the greater fluidity and incisive passing they bring - not all (any!) rearguards will be as obliging as Southampton’s.
