Laughable people are taking solace from this performance.

Madrid have taken off first teamers and haven't got out of 1st gear in the second half.
Not to mention their first game is over 2 and half weeks away whilst ours is in 4 days

Very easy to say "its only pre season" but we are away at old Trafford on Saturday.

There is nothing to suggest we are remotely ready.

This is a 50% real side who are two weeks later into their pre season.

Consistently misplacing passes is what it is. Sub standard.

There is no rhythm whatsoever.

We could get ruined this weekend.

We had 3 behind doors friendlies, which was our first team and more mature U21s and the MLS game. I'm not sure how you're arguing?

what were the teams vrs Brentford and I think the other I recall was Southend although I may be wrong ........ and lets see how many of those playing today played in either of those games

Great example of Chadli poor pressing then, Kane chases the CB looks round to see who should have moved up to press the FB (the CB's only out) and Chadli's standing 8 yards away from him watching it all.

Am I right in thinking that Trippier has not made it on? Looks like Walker for Saturday then. Brilliant

I don't really think it's that we've been bad or anything but we just don't have the players to be effective enough to produce consecutive chances in the final third IMO.

Well I've seen absoluteky nothing to suggest we've progressed at all from last season.

Same shit.

I am absolutely gobsmacked although I don't know why I thought it would be any different that we have failed to bring in any creative players with 4 days left until the first game of the season. I know it's a pre season friendly but we have hardly created anything. It's two different things being comfortable or dangerous in a game

Wish I could at least see what our plan to create chances is. Seems like our only strategy is get a full back forward.
we don't have a plan, like we didnt last season, pass it sideways 100 times and hope someone has magically became free upfield totally unmarked. we could play RM till midnight and not work the gk.

Granted I'm not watching the game but from the updates on the official spurs site (which usually paints a fairly blinkered portrait of events) it sounds like we've not created many shooting chances at all. Is this fair assessment? If so, this is a continuation of a worrying trait from last season. Hope we can put that right soon. Personally I feel we have enough creative passers of the ball but zero pace in advanced positions to pull defences and make space for others. Hoping we can do something about this soon.

I love Kane, and he clearly isn't fully fit yet. But even so, I really think we need a rotation forward who is fast, Kane's biggest weakness is his pace and it can be too easy to mark him out of the match at times. Especially this season when teams will be more aweare of him and his strengths and weaknesses.

The lack of creativity or flair in this team is shocking...
On a plus side 37 right backs will help...

Still no pace or creativity in attack.

Kane's not had a sniff and that's the fault of the attacking 3 behind him.
