Not often that I think it is good that one of our players are out injured, but at this case, I think Cerny has deserved his chance, and Robinson should have been dropped even without an injury. To be fair to Cerny - He has deserved his chance, and I hope he takes it. I believe in Cerny, and think he has been very good every time he has played.

I think a lot of people have wised up to him to be honest. half a good season for Wigan (1st half) and half a good season (1st half) for us is what I´ve seen. Made shedloads more costly mistakes than Stalteri. He´s started this season like he finished the last.

The most galling thing about this is that he has all the tools necesary to do the job - lots of talent. Whether it´s attitude or concentration he is lacking I don´t know. But´these are the 2 things Stalteri does not lack.

Spot on, and I agree that alot more people are commenting on his seeming lack of defensive 'attitude'. All the tools....Do we have another Gardner on our hands? With Chimbo it seems, to me at least, that it's more attitude than ability / concentration. Not really sure why I think that, just the vibe I get watching him. (Admittedly on TV most of the time)

Do we still have Button on the books? If so does anyone know how he's done? Worthy of a place on the bench?

i'm trying to find my post about a couple of weeks ago saying the best option for both spurs and robbo was to invent an injury that would keep him out for a couple of weeks as there are no more internationals and hey presto an injury is reported ala lehman

In the next 20 days we have about 6 or 7 games which will give cerny a fair crack

It doesn't occur to you that this injury might be a genuine one, then?

Don't be silly. Who ever heard of a player getting injured on international duty?

It's clearly a major conspiracy, and anyone who says otherwise is as naive as Jol's tactics. Definitely.

Either way, if the injury is fake or real, it will give Cerny a chance to prove himself, it will also silence the robbo haters. So the opportunity is there, so lets see what happens now.....

I am sure there will be another scapegoat to blame in the very near future...

Good luck Cerny, I'm hoping he can take his chance. If not, we'd better get a new keeper in Jan.

If Cerny has a stinker it won't change my mind about Robinson. I wonder if Cerny has a stinker if certain people will have as many excuses for it as they do with Robinson.

'Certain people', B-C? Why, no. He'll be subjected to the same stringent standards as Robinson—i.e., no excuses/mitigating circumstances allowed.

It's only logical. Robinson has clearly been 100% responsible for every goal we've conceded so far this season, so everything that ends up in the back of the net whilst Cerny's minding the farm must be his fault too.
