Even if the miss was worse, who cares? Look at his scoring record. He clearly knows how to find the back of the net in one of the best leagues in the world. His ability should be the part of this deal we're least concerned about. Making sure it bloody well happens is the main thing.

Considering LLM and now WPD have either said or suggested he isn't going back to England, I doubt that is true.

Baldini on an Easy Jet flight....hmm. Not sure about that.

Plus I thought he was heading to Portugal or somewhere.

  1. James Jacobs@jamesbjacobs18mHowever Spurs making their technical director fly EasyJet and not even speedy boarding or extra legroom #SmallClub
  2. James Jacobs@jamesbjacobs19mFranco Baldini on my flight home from Valencia, told me that Soldado will probably happen.... Annoying as he is actually quite good
The thing is - why would a Chelsea fan grudgingly admit that we were signing a good player if he was on the wind-up. I'll take this as ITK!

Also, Baldini probably wasn't in an engrossing conversation with the lad. Probably just shrugged his shoulders and said something like 'yeah, probably, hopefully' when asked if we were close to Soldado

I'm sorry but that's really clutching at straws.

This is what I think too. If he was doing it as a wind up surely he would be making a bigger deal out of it?
