I can't even imagine what's going to go down on here if Bobby heads to Liverpool now. I don't think it'd be a Valencia leak if it's from Liverpool's local radio station. We'd only have ourselves to blame if the reports are true.

Pitch forks outside White Hart Lane?

I don't think Soldado is what Liverpool want as a striker. Look at what they have there. Suarez, Aspas, Alberto and to a lesser extent Borini. I wouldn't compare Soldado to any of those players. I think if they want to keep their strikers consistent in their style of play, a guy like Luis Muriel makes way more sense. But, maybe Rogers views Soldado as a striker that can fit into any system.

they have sturridge too.

City FM, really we're taking the word of some cheap Merseyside radio channel? Considering how transparent Valencia are, if the scouse had really met the release clause, we'd have a gazillion Spanish sources talking about it.

Exactly. The only two sources stating that Liverpool have met the release clause are some tinpot radio station that nobodies heard of and a fucking nigerian newspaper.

Meanwhile, all our ITK's are saying that they think it'll happen, but nah everyones going batshit over a radio station. :banghead:

What;s especially telling is that every step of the way the Spanish have been fed info and details, then this breaks and the Spanish have nothing.

If Liverpool end up piping us to the most exciting potential transfer in years, and given we are ahead of them currently, I'll be gutted....even allowing for the draw they still have.

Don't be betting on that. Despite a few lean years Liverpool are a massive, massive club and will still have a certain allure for any player.

However we're most peoples second team and no doubt that has increased even more now Bale is considered one of the best players in the world. We have a manager that will definitely go on to manage clubs such as Real and Barca and some of the best training facilities in the world.

Liverpool just have this horrible aura surrounding them, they have one of the biggest scumbags in the game playing for them and their manager appears clueless.

Also RAWK.

I'll be willing to pay 0.0000001% towards the difference to bring him to WHL.. I'm hoping 0.00000001% is about 5 pounds.

Unfortunately this is very true. They are probably at their lowest appeal for many years, but still have some of that old allure.

I agree. But are stock is higher than there's at the moment. Players are living in the here and now, they're not signing on the basis of past reputation - more where the Club are now and are likely to go, I would hope and imagine anyway.

Soldado has said that we were very close to getting him last summer, and was impressed with the Club and wanted to come.

Hopefully that's an edge to.
