in the league I really don't know of another team that has a better starting 11 than us, the only reason we haven't won back to back titles is squad depth, and 2 teams that have had no European football. I know we collapsed in our final 4 games last season, had we been leading towards the end, I don't think we would of had such a bad season, and had we not suffered so many injuries this season I believe we would of won it.

Love the team. If we can improve the squad great. If we can improve the first 11 even better.

Right wing is light imo, who knows if lamela will be half as good as he was when he comes back and sissoko isnt good enough in that area. If we need a marquee signing thats the position we might need one.

For those who that have seen enough of him, would Kovacic qualify as a marquee signing?

I'm not sure where we could fit a marquee signing really as already well stacked first team wise in most areas.

It's not like a few years back when we got Davids in and you could see where we could utilise him.

I would like Ben Gibson from Boro though - a good left-footed centre back who could cover for Vertonghen in a back three and also English, which is always a bonus.

Wanted to post about Gibson for ages lol but there are no threads that it's been appropriate to slip into lol.

Although not a marquee signing. We should get De Light from Ajax. He is super consistent and turns up for every match.

If this is from the radio interview he was asked if a marquee signing would upset the squad harmony. He said not at all and they'd all respect the clubs ambition rather than be annoyed.
