Roberto Firmino is putting together a fantastic start to his season. And, with him playing for Hoffenheim, he could easily be an attainable target. He's also a versatile player that would most likely appeal to AVB given his technique and ability to play in any of the 3 positions behind the striker.

How about Koke from Atletico Madrid? Join top assists with Fabregas, only 21

I think that article is so fake that the writer doesn't even know where they play. To begin with, Lanzini was only on loan at Fluminense, and at the time of the article he was already back at River. So going to Rio de Janeiro to watch Lanzini would've been pretty dumb. Plus its says he's a wing back :ROFLMAO:

Tbf that was the first article I plucked off google, there were many. The fine details might be a bit wrong but I would say there is a good chance he's on AVB's radar, which can only be positive.

Would take Kevin De Bruyne amid reports of him being dropped to U21s and possibility of being sold in January even though no chance Chelsea would sell to us

Quite typical of chelsea to let young talent die on the vine. He needs to kick his manager in the nuts and move away from that flea pit ASAP. Would take him in a heartbeat.

So many potentially world class teenage players coming through atm. The next generation of footballers is going to be phenomenal imo

Michy Batshuayi is just killing it right now. 19 years old with 8 goals in 9 matches so far this season in the Jupiler Pro League. 10 goals in 15 matches overall.

His teammate, Imoh Ezekiel (who is also only 19 years old) has 6 goals in 13 matches.

I would love both of these guys. Batshuayi as a true #9 and Ezekiel as a pacy wide forward.

They both scored a couple weeks ago:

Guy's a beast, scores lots by spinning from the defender and blasting it in like in like this one yesterday http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_WDIE21JisI#t=46 @0:46

I watched Lorient's 2-0 defeat at home to Marseille and I was very impressed by their left back Raphaël Guerreiro. He is french born but has played for portugal under 21s. He looks a very mature footballer for a 19 year old, comfortable on the ball, played some nice incisive passes, has a decent cross, seemed pretty quick. His positioning still needs some work as you might expect. When they were chasing the game late on the Pelé was subbed for Pedrinho and he was pushed up to play wide left. I see he has only just joined Lorient after being in the ligue 2 team of the season last year.

He's going to have all of the big guns after him soon, but if Juan Quintero isn't one of the worlds best in a couple of years I'd be gobsmacked.

I've been over to see Leyton Orient a few times over the last season or two and their is an interesting young English-born winger called Moses Odubajo who is developing into a very exciting talent. I'm not sure how far he could go but I'm sure he'll be snapped up soon.

Looks like the Metro are linking him with Spurs - http://metro.co.uk/2013/10/01/totte...r-leyton-orient-winger-moses-adubajo-4129784/

Anyone know about Cyrus Christie (whoscored.com say he is a defender but not if he is a LB, RB or CB)? The Coventry Telegraph have said David Pleat has gone to see him twice and then linked him with us. Looks like a bit of a stretch but I remember hearing a radio interview with David Pleat a few weeks back and he was watching one of our academy sides play West Ham so he may still have some links to the club - http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/spurs-running-rule-over-cyrus-6119646

I kind of like the idea of the club using the January window to not get in big names and look at getting in some more young long term prospects (get the big business done in the summer and then look at the long term stuff in the shorter winter window).

Agree 100%. I mentioned him back on page 18 of this thread:

I've been watching the U20s World Cup and the best player i've seen is Colombia's playmaker Quintero. Reminds me a bit of Maradona. Colombia are out of the competition now having lost to a far inferior but much better organised South Korea on penalties (Quintero scored his). He got 3 goals in the competition including a fantastic free kick in the last minute of injury time to take the game to ET against the Koreans. He has 2 faults which can be trained out of him; a tendency to dive and trying to do too much every time he gets on the ball but he has a superb range of passing, great vision, and the ability to go past 3 or 4 defenders with ease. Porto are supposedly after him for 10M euros and they're not bad judges. I'd love to see us gazump them.
He was very impressive in the U20 World Cup this summer which with the EURO U21s is the best standard of competition to judge young players potential.

Got Vlad's countryman Alexandru Maxim making waves too.

In terms of young strikers, Finnbogason is doing well under Van Basten at Heerenveen, maybe one to look at towards the end of the season, unless there is an early swoop by someone else.

Should have a look at Ryan Gauld from Dundee, think he might have been mentioned here somewhere before. Think it's one for the scouts though, can't access/have the dedication to follow Scottish football.

Surely off limits now he is at Porto though ?

Anyone know how Luis Muriel is doing this season ?
