Ha, ha.. Are you norwegian? That`s kind of the norwegian social democratic-way to do it. Exploit the wealthfare system for what it's worth. Unfortunately. Ring in sick from Bricklayers with "The Spurs go marching in" loudly in the background..(n) No, thanx.

Yes, but there are other factors which matters too. Potential CL/EL-games few days before PL-game, normally means that those teams play sunday.. Or am i wrong?

the Liverpool game might be moved to the Sunday due to EL if still in it, but doesn't guarantee being on Sky.

if there is still 3-4 teams in it for the title then the Man C v Arse game will most probably be on.

the way the league stands at the moment Leicester v Everton, Spurs v So'ton, Man C v Arse, and either Villa v Newcastle or Sunderland v Newcastle. due to Man U playing Tuesday night I'd not be shocked to see Man U v Norwich as the early BT game, as 1 might still be challenging for top 4 the other still battling relegation.

as I said in my post above sky will see whoever is fighting it out for top spot and advertise it as Supa Sunday or something along those lines. lets hope if we are on the Sunday we are the early KO, at least the airport isn't too far.

Yes, but they can't wait until the quarter finals in EL are finished before they announce the schedule?

Is it mostly Sky that has a say on KO-times? The whole Scandinavia are watching PL, plus I think PL is big in Finland and Benelux too. Don't know about other european countries, but then there are a millions of viewers in Asia (probably a lot more there then in UK). I don't know if a TV-channel like norwegian TV2 is buying the broadcasting rights from Sky or from the FA directly?

NB! What I didn't know, but just found out, is that english TV-channels are not allowed to broadcast a saturday 15:00-game!? Some seasons ago norwegian channels with the PL-rights, could broadcast up to three 15:00-games. Nowadays it's restricted to one 15:00 saturday game. So, we normally have three games to watch every saturday. Now I understand how complicated it is.

sky are the ones that pick the matches, and at the business end they will mainly show the top end with just 2 matches to go unless there is a run away winner, then they concentrate on the bottom end. they have 3 K/O times 17:30 Saturday evening, 13:30 & usually 16:00 on a Sunday. Providing Leicester haven't won the league by then if I was to guess Sat 17:30 Man C v Arse if they are still in with a chance, 13:30 2nd place v ?, 16:00 leaders v ? especially if the league can be won that day, they will want the show to go out on a high, the only good thing is they will go by the table from approx. 3 to 4 weeks before (most probably decide it the week after our Man U game), and at the moment I'd say we would be 13:30

Thanx for reply. So, what's the reason why Sky/BT can't broadcast double on sunday, like yesterday? Cause there was no british channel broadcasting the Bournemouth-game, yesterday, was it?

I feel more relaxed now. Chances for either early sunday og saturday KO seem high. I can live with that!

no there wasn't 1 for Bournemouth, the games are usually advertised around 7-8 weeks roughly before, but later as the season goes, and I think they have to still share it around the clubs as much as they can. us v Liverpool usually always on TV, same with Man U. we have been on quite a few times at the Brittania v Stoke, but hardly ever at home to them. WBA can't remember seeing them on TV when at the lane, but the Chelsea game is a bit like Liverpool and Man U, quite regular especially since we have been a regular team in the top 5

Sky I think have 1st choice on weekend games, I suspect due to them being the 1st providers once it become the Premier League. BT are slowly getting more and more, they have the 12:45 on a Saturday, though very occasionally have had a Sunday fixture, though can only remember ours v Chelsea. they now have extra games in midweek, so will most probably show a good few of the arranged fixtures. this season BT have taken over European games and share the FA Cup.

I know I said after the Man U game, but don't hold me too that, though it should be pretty soon after, the final weekend they choose that week.

I really hope it goes your way, even if slightly jealous lol

I read that your UK regulations or agreements on a maximum number of broadcast PL games pr seasons, plus your law against broadcasting games on saturday afternoon, are reasons why few PL games are on TV in UK compared to the rest of the world. But I guess it is possible to get an American or Australian online subscription and watch all the games that way if you want english commentator?

I actually sent a mail to the Spurs ticket administration. Got an answer yesterday. The schedule can be expected to be announced within approx 14 days. After the Liverpool game. If we win and Leicester loose, I guess we definitely will be on sunday, based on your reasoning. But, after all, all I want is to be there and celebrate the title.. (Been a Spurs supporter since I got a Lineker shirt in Mallorca the summer of 1989);)

We`ve got some thoughts on go and attend an extra game in London that weekend as well. If the Sotton game is rearranged to late saturday or sunday (as expected), we can choose between QPR-Bristol City, Fulham-Bolton and Charlton-Burnley early saturday. I have only been attending a few Spurs games earlier, so I`m keen on warming up with one of those games. Which one should we pick? Me myself favor the QPR-Bristol City-game, but it seems like they have nothing to fight for, as they are both on the mid-level of the table and far away from play off.

If we end up with 12:45 or 15:00 on saturday as KO-times, we will probably go to Gillingham for the Gillingham-Millwall-game on sunday. Any recommendations or thoughts on this? I can only speak for myself, and I`m generally totally uninterested in both Championship and League One football. I`m going for the atmosphere and beer. So, most and best atmosphere is the key word of importance here.;)

Burnley will be chasing promotion/play off places so that could be a good one to go to. However Charlton will more than likely be relegated already so the atmosphere could be a bit flat.

If you get lucky with the Spurs lifting the title, going to the Charlton v burnley game you could have a double header of seeing a team crowned champions in top2 leagues in England

That could be quite cool!;) But, as Daniel stressed, the atmosphere could be a little bit flat if Charlton already is relegated? Otherwise, Fulham might fight against relegation, so the Fulham-Bolton game could be interesting too, maybe? Atmosphere on the ground and travel time from the ground up to N17 matters. But, I guess it more or less will be the same travel time no matter what game we choose?

with the time being 13:30 KO hope you don't over celebrate, even though the airport is only 20-30 mins away on a clear run on a normal match day the journey will take a lot longer by car. the good thing about City airport I don't think you need to book in 2hrs before hand, though I usually take business customers there so not sure how early you need to check-in, you best check that.

have a great time whatever and lets just hope there is something more important to play for other than 2nd place;)

Well, KO time 13:30 isn`t destroying our schedule and plans totally. Think we can live with it. According google maps it`s 26-30 minutes with car from WHL to City Airport. Do we have to expect traffic jam after the game? What time do we have to calculate with taxi from WHL to City Airport on a matchday? 45 minutes? Our flights departure time is 18:15. Its gonna be some hours with pre-match drinking anyway, and probably QPR-Bristol City or Fulham-Bolton on saturday. ;)

A dull scenario for me is us winning the title that sunday, and instead of celebrating on Bricklayers after the game, we have to rush and sit in a taxi on our way back to the airport. That`s a dull situation.:wtf::banghead:

to be honest when ive driven I usually have to sit in a car park and wait for the gates to open 40mins after and still sit in traffic.

game should finish roughly 15:20, what time do you have to check-in?

they are mainly mini cab firms round Tottenham, but would definitely attempt to book 1 before the start and make sure you get there on time, I think there is 1 just before you get to White Hart Lane (the road not the stadium), though its not far if its still there. if I wasn't based 30 odd miles away and watching the game on the box, I would of been more than willing (I'm a taxi driver)

if there are celebrations to be had, I would do them when you get home to be on the safe side.

hope all goes well

45 minutes would be pushing it. Probably looking longer than that.

Having said that as its last home game of the season there will be a lap of honour so you might be able to get out and miss some of the congestion if you dont stay for that.

Thax. I`ve googled and checked possible travel routes and alternatives. Think we`ll end up with this one: Train 15:47 from WHL st to Bethnal Green (16:20). And instead of walking around and looking for the next station, we`ll grab a cab from there to City airport (approx 12-20 min according google maps etc.) Then we`ll be at the airport approx 1 h and 45 min before the departure. That should work?
