The problem some seem to have with the penalty is that it isn't given enough, so they're conditioned to it not being one. However it is a foul and should be given far more consistently.

Arsenal have had two of the softest penalties I’ve ever seen vs. Chelsea and Man Utd and I don’t remember people complaining then. They can’t have it both ways and to be honest they are lucky as fans they are finding these things to hide behind because we’d have stuffed them pretty convincingly anyway.

If Conte had started with us in July and we had had no European matches like Arsenal I think we would be comfortably sitting in 3rd and a good 10/15 pts ahead of Arse/Chelsea.
Future’s bright.
100%. And for that reason, im not fussed if Woolwich get 4th as it will allow us to focus more on the League (while CL participation will ruin their chances of getting anywhere near 4th IMO).

Remember posting the exact same on ye olde Facebook after a 2:1 win back when Facebook was a thing. Took me seconds to realise how that might be misinterpreted and/or picked up by some no context **** before adding a panicky "that's not racist btw" edit.

We didn't even need to play well last night, Arsenal just totally lost their heads and imploded. Bodes very well for the next 2 games as they clearly crumble under pressure. They had an unbelievable run of fortune playing chelsea on the beach, west ham depleted and exhausted, and United at their shittest. They really aren't that good.

Whether we get the CL or not, last night can't have done any harm to our chances of holding onto Conte and Kane. A good summer and we will be a real force next season!

I couldn’t watch the match live so I muted everyone and then watched a recording last night. I re-watched highlights this morning and I will say that both Sess and Royal did great in the match.

Was chatting to my mates about the game this morning and it dawned on me that all 3 goals and the red card all heavily involved players that were unavailable for the original fixture. We all know they bent the rules to dodge the game, that is perfect Karma.

Goal 1 - Kulusevski cross to Son for the penalty.
Red Card - Holding fouled Son for both bookings
Goal 2 - Son corner flicked on to Kane by Bentancur.
Goal 3 - Son scores

Plenty of penalties in the NLD over the last few years, none have been softer than this last minute penalty gift at Wembley.

One thing that I haven’t seen mentioned but I think contributed to the penalty being given, is the fact that Rob ‘I’m having a shocker’ Holding, totally smashed into Son after Cedric had made the initial contact which exacerbated the contact making it an easy decision for the ref to give.
