Tbf, many my self included, were saying bench him to make him realise he can be dropped and make him earn it from the bench.
He was left on the bench (rightly) and now he’s come on and put this performance in.
I didn’t see any one person at any point say he wasn’t still a class player, or that he didn’t have the skill to get back to himself.
It was still completely the right decision to leave him out.
