Play three in the middle - press them in that middle third area and then spring on their back line. Son is a massive miss but still think Lucas can do a job. I would consider Spence as a right side forward and play in behind... not ideal but we do need a bit of pace up there with Son and Kulu and Richie all out.

I’m not sure if Lucas is fit. I could be wrong internet news is misleading

There are a couple of ways that this match should differ from recent ones. First, it will be a meeting between two sides that have a chronic, almost wilful tendency to concede the first goal. Who will crack first? And what difference will it make?

Second, we have been collecting points by staging second half comebacks against sides that are visibly less fit than Spurs. That won't be true of Liverpool. Most of them can run all day. Although it will be interesting if they start with the slightly superannuated selection of Milner and Henderson, neither of whom is quite as relentless as he used to be.

Quite embarrassing that Carragher is our 5th highest scorer in this fixture in the Premier League era, for him and for us.

Just seen the Klopp press conference - he's such a knob........"Sarah has score like 400 goals against Tottenham"

We should be having a word with the manufacturers of the home strip, then. We can't have the players' shorts coming apart in mid-match, can we?
Well, we have precedent for it when Vertonghen pulled down a pair of shorts....only on that occasion it was the other team

Great news on Kulu. Hopefully he can start but even if hes an option on the bench, we take it.

Least we have him back now, I'm more worried about the Leeds game next week but not if we have Kulu back and hopefully Richarlison.

Admire your confidence in Lucas, not scored a PL goal since Boxing Day 2021, zero assists this season in 6 appearances, his cross when clear down the right wing 2nd half the other night was one that Emerson would have been proud of. :)
I do hope Lucas gives us something against Pool, he certainly owes us a performance but he is playing through the pain of a tendon injury.

I think I’d go with this:

lloris
Emerson Dier Lenglet Davies Sessegnon
Bissouma Hojbjerg
Bentancur Kane Perisic

It looks weird written down but without the ball Bentancur drops centrally and Perisic can help contain Salah. With the ball Perisic can try and get in behind Trent plus Bentancur has shown recently how fantastic he is at getting himself forward and joining attacks. It’s going to be really tough game though with our injuries, if we beat Leeds next week I think a point on Sunday is a good result.

Fantastic news about Kulu's availability, we've missed his input so much these past few weeks. I only hope to God we're not rushing him back just because Sonny is out for an indeterminate period. If he gets done again, he could be out even longer next time.

Massive game this one. The Lane is gonna be rocking!!! COYS!!!!

I am always optimistic but then get annoyed in game - it does look like Lucas is not match fit, thats why i not overly harsh on him for his performance against Marseille.

I just think pace in behind beats them and wins the game... particularly with Kane dropping in that hole. Thats why id go for a wild card in someone like Spence or Gil even.

I’d ask Kulu for 50-60 mins, and go Perisic-Kane-Kulu. Just get both whipping those inswinging crosses in for Kane and pepper Liverpool.
