Never any options when we have the ball. Players look so nervous it’s actually a surprise when they control it first time. Baffling how this has all happened.

We need to go for it in the second half. Early goal or we are fucked.

No. Just poor by Lloris, swhy the fuck not just kick it away

Agree but still a foul. You get that anywhere else on a pitch 90% of the time it doesn’t matter that he’s a goal keeper. If the forward chests it down and the keeper obstructs you it’s penalised. Disappointing because I thought we were looking more likely to score. Really hope the fans stay with them

The same as under Mourinho, you are always going to have more individual errors when you surrender so much possession and invite constant pressure. And when you play deep an individual error will be more costly because of where possession is lost

We were actually playing quite well until Lloris cost us AGAIN. The Lloris fan brigade will all be up in arms about anyone criticising him, 'think of all the times hes saved us', but making great saves does not make you a great goalkeeper. His distribution is terrible as well.

3 at the back really isn't working.

Teams have it Figured out right now and we have been 2nd best in all but 1 or 2 of our games so far.

Either Conte changes things or the fan base will turn on him real quick.

Let's not kid ourselves. Our entire strategy is to fizz the ball to kane (on the floor if possible) and him turning and passing to either son which is his preferred choice following by Sessegnon and Royal as final final resort

Newcastle haven't done nothing special but they attack from all angles and both sides so it's clearly harder to contain. If kane is marked tight and/or has an off game we don't win

Just a couple of moments from the highlights.

Midfielders too deep and not switched on about threats.

I think the system is hiding the weaknesses of these players.

It sounds like a contradiction but the system helps hide weaker players so you can get to 70 plus points but if you want to hit 80 or 90 points we are going to need a better quality of player.

I don't want to see Dier in a back 4 again, i've seen it, it's shit. I don't want to see Perisic as a winger or Ben Davies as a below average left-back. We have a lot of mediocre defenders that we are trying to hide in a back 5. We don't have any number 6's like Jorginho or Veratti that can control a game. We have one number 10 in Kulusevski who is dominant in the right sided half space but not seen him play anywhere else. Hes injured.

Are we suggesting yesterday we play 4-3-3

Lloris
Royal Romero Dier Sessegnon
PEH Bissouma Bentancur
Richarlison Kane Son
I mean that's three defensive midfielders. Dier is an awful defender in a back 4, Sessegnon is untested as a pure left-back. You can't play Perisic there.
Maybe you can play Richarlison at number 10 instead of Bissouma or Kane with Persic as a winger? That team not keeping the ball. We don't have any good passers in the squad.

Yes mate I agree because this happens incredibly regularly and it’s being proven time and time again that you really don’t have to play well to beat us.
Awful pass from Loris but Alamaron still had a bit to do to score the second goal. He wasn't gifted an open goal

Main problem in the second half is there won’t be much in the way of backing from the fans either.

We now seem to work very much on a “Do good things and we will encourage you to do more good things, do bad things, we’ll just boo and assume it’s all over”.

Individual errors are why we’re losing, prior to those we looked good, and if we went in 0-0 it would have just been frustrating to not take a chance.

Unfortunately, we’ve still got a weak mentality, a very large section of our fan base has a weak mentality and there are three or four players who really need to improve in terms of strength, mentality and footballing intelligence.

Pass around the back, invite pressure, float a long ball forward and lose possession.

rinse and repeat.
I'm afraid this is it. I don't know what Conte is thinking. Its absolutely dreadful. Its tedious to watch and is just handing the initiative to the opposition and at this level most teams are good enough to take advantage.

Are Perisic/Sessegnon better than Reguilon was? Curious to see what others think.

Yet he has been a success pretty much everywhere he has been. I'm sure he will do well again at his next club.

These are the same group of players that have under performed for years.

Ive said it for years, so much of our squad have terrible basic technique.
Yeah I completely agree, was probably just annoyed originally, the team isn’t good enough, still quality WBs and CBS away from having any chance at challenging for any thing

No way. That was a fine goal as much as I hate to say it. Not Wilson’s fault that Lloris fucked up and gifted the ball directly to him.

So next time a striker knocks the ball past a goalkeeper and gets body checked you're going to say it's not a penalty because the goalie has nowhere to go?

Very frustrating. Felt the game was progressing quite well but a mix of terrible mistakes and very bad luck on the foul on Lloris have killed the game (that's given 99/100).

Didn't feel like Newcastle were offering much and we had some chances.

The reaction to the goal was shocking. No one wanted the ball. Weak mentality.
