We are not very good today. We won't get more than a solid platform from our back three today, so if we want control of that midfield then I guess we need to drop a forward (Son) and bring on a midfielder. Emerson has been a mixed bag today. Spence is being given the new boy treatment and having to bide his time, but there have been moments today where he would've done a lot more than Emerson.

Our midfield isn't good enough for where we want to be, really need a high level player in there who can make things happen. Conte also needs to show that he can be more flexible and change the formation to suit the opposition because this is the second week running that two in the midfield isn't working against a much more competent three.

No Romero comes straight back in obviously. We’re really lacking quality coming out of the back.

This is the pattern every single time we come up against a team that can play football. I don't understand why we don't put an additional body in midfield. But this has been the case since day one with Conte, so I don't expect it to change.

a modric type player would be perfect for us we need someone who can control the tempo and bring some fluidity to our midfield and attacking play

The fact that we have been unable to upgrade and find an elite LCB, an upgrade on RWB, and another creative midfielder is a dismal failure.

We look like such an average side.

Conte just rigidly sticks to the system even though us fans can see before the game that the opposition will do a number on us in midfield and tactically.

We've spent money on depth but we haven't upgraded the first 11 at all.
