I really don't like Ozil in the wider position, Doesn't work back enough. I'd be surprised if they'd do this, although Wenger did try and sign him before Dortmund, I believe.

Mkhitaryan's work rate would make up for Ozil's lack thereof. Dortmund actually played Mkhitaryan on the right of their 4231a few times last year I believe so you could still have Ozil central.

Mkhitaryan's almost certainly on the move, he's got one year left and would still command a decent fee as he's one of the best 3 or 4 in his position in Europe IMO. I will be so gutted if he ends up somewhere like Liverpool because, like Payet for West Ham, he is one of those players that almost guarantees to lift a team up a rung. He's even better than Payet as he's an even harder worker without the ball and is already in tune with Klopp's methodology.

See Aulas is quoted as saying he wants to sign BenArfa from Nice, suggests to me Fekir could very well be moving on. Also reported a while ago that Tolisso would prefer the EPL to Italy (Napoli were after him) with Arsenal his favourite, but now they have signed Xhaka, we'd be a very decent option for him and he's exactly the type of CM we should be looking at. Dilligent, energetic and can move the ball (more forward passes and key passes than Dier and Dembele) and tackles more than Dier and intercepts more than Dier and Dembele.
Think they want Ben Arfa to replace Valbuena.

If Arsenal sign Mkhitaryan then I will cry.

I think I'd hate it even more if Liverpool do. I've been expecting Arsenal to have a title challenging season in the lest couple/next couple of years anyway. Mhiktaryan along with Xhaka would get them pretty close. But Mhiktaryan going somewhere like Liverpool, maybe with a couple of other decent signings and Klopp getting into gear would have them up our arses tout suit.

According to Kicker, Mkhitaryan is being made available for 40 million Euros (28 million pounds). An ESPN article claimed today that Arsenal are prioritizing his signing over Mahrez, so that probably will happen. Also, Ricardo Rodriguez has come out and admitted more or less that he'd like a move to Arsenal too to join his good friend Xhaka, and Wolfsburg have to let him leave cause he has a release clause. Him and Sanchez on the left would be devastating. If they make those two signings, with or without Vardy, they're early and clear title favorites.

We would have had a better pathway to the first team, he didnt really progress that much at barca until they sold him/loaned him
When young players join Barca I don't think "better pathway to he first team" is anything they or their advisors give a shit about.

That's quite a depressing post!

Sad state of affairs. A great club like Dortmund, great football, manager, getting picked off one by one by the rich big boys. Will happen to Leicester, and every other team that try to compete

Happens to Dortmund all the time, but they still manage to find replacements and stay a top 2/3 side.

They have a great Manager! Really rate Tuchel and would have loved him at Spurs if we didn't get Poch.

like Athletico. Just a shame the likes of us will always be targeted by the super rich and there's not much we can do about it

It's just football, the big fish feed off the nearly big fish and the nearly big fish feed off the medium fish and the medium fish feed off the little fish.

We lose our best players but take ours from others below us.

What I find sad is when players make stupid choices based on ignorance, greed, over ambition or bad advice and end up stagnating their careers needlessly.

I don't think he'll go to Liverpool. Arsenal is a lot more likely imo.
