In light of recent form and the team news, I'd like to see this...
Gomes
Corluka Gallas Woodgate Assou-Ekotto
Lennon Jenas Palacios Pienaar
Kranjcar
Pavlyuchenko
I don't think Dawson looks comfortable at LCB and is making far too many mistakes. Crouch and Defoe just don't look like doing it, and I think Kranjcar and Pav would relish the opportunity.
Because Boogie Nights is class
Would go with this too, but not sure if Woodgate's up to it yet. Would be a big risk so would probably still play Dawson.
Gallas should play LCB since he played left back for so much of his career he should be comfy there.
Furry muff. I thought it might have been because Levy had put a 36m bid in for him on Jan 31.
Team I'd go with:
----------------Gomes
Hutton----Woodgate----Gallas----Ekotto
---------Palacios----Jenas
Lennon-------Kranjcar--------Pienaar
-----------Crouch
How can people still pick Crouch or Defoe ahead of Pav?
I'd actually really like to see that lineup- Kranjcar seems to be very effective in that role for Croatia. Also if it doesn't work we can always bring Defoe/Pav on at half time and go 4-4-2.For once I agree with you
Think that line up would give us a great chance.
This is when the depth of our squad is put to the test. We managed 9 against wigan without any of those players so its not like we're rubbish without them. You take luka, vdv and bale out of any side they will struggle so even a draw would a good result tomorrow.
Niko to start in place of Defoe for me with pienaar coming in for rafa, other than that no changes.
