Fazio marked Lukaku out of the game. Matched and beat him in every department. I'm hoping he can do the same with Bony.

To be fair, Lukaku didn't get too much in the way of service. To be equally fair, Fazio's got a lot of undeserved shit.

It really isn't. Of our three wins, two (Villa and Hull) have come about because the opposition had a man sent off. The third came from an injury-time goal that was completely against the run of play—let's be real, if the Spammers had taken their chances earlier on we'd have been dead and buried. We were completely outplayed, embarrassingly so.

What part of a year and a half did you miss? I was referring to our away form improving in recent times in general.

And if we're playing that game we should be two points up from the Sunderland performance.

Oh, sorry. I thought our performances under Sherwood were irrelevant. I was going on this season alone.

What? At least two? We could have had four? Or five? Get real. We threw away two.

Jesus, its not difficult. I simply was making the point that our away form has improved in recent times, irrespective of which particular manager happened to be in charge. It was a general point and where did I say our performances under Sherwood were irrelevant? lol.

Had we taken better advantage of our counter attacking opportunities we may have taken more points at the Emirates to, that's why I said at least two additional points - but phrased it poorly, I meant to add we could of taken more points elsewhere.

You really are contradicting yourself. So it suits you to say we threw away two points when we didn't get the win/points our performance deserved but we were really lucky when our performance didn't merit the points we took.

Can't have it both ways. Shit happens sometimes in football, but our away record, for the most part,is much better than it use to be for a long time. That's the point I was making before you decided to nitpick.

Naughton injured thank god, but please please please no dier at RB against montero. I hope walker has enough in the tank to play, chiriches will get torn a new one as well.

When you were saying that we shouldn't compare this season's performances with last?

And what if Arsenal had taken advantage of their overwhelming superiority?

No contradiction at all. We should have killed Sunderland. We didn't, and they scraped a draw. We really weren't that good—they were bloody awful and still pegged us back. It's very unlikely we would have got the points against Villa if Benteke hadn't been sent off, and questionable if we'd have got anything against Hull.

Sorry, but you're the one who's trying to have it both ways. Our away form hasn't been that good this season. We've got the points with the aid of a hefty dollop of jam.

I'll be surprised if Walker does play, at least as a starter, and Dier's got some sort of toe injury. Chiriches might not be too bad as long as he doesn't try his Atouba impersonations (and let's not forget that Walker's hardly immune to attacks of the Stupids either—remember his mad back-header at the Bridge last season?).

What worries me is montero's pace. Chiriches will get slaughtered as chambers did for arsenal. Dier is training again today according to the OS so he has a chance. Just hope walker has no reaction to thurs and can start to combat the pace

No, I didn't say this season though, you've decided to do that, not me. I said over the last year and a half. And the point I was making was not comparing managers in a specific context, it was a general point. If anything we've had players who have been more suited to playing away from home as opposed to more guile/incisive types who can break down deep lying defenses at home.

If you read the post again, I didn't say anywhere that our away form, specifically, was good this season. For the tenth time I was making a general point that its improved in recent years - and so it has. We may have been fortunate in some instances this season, West Ham for sure. They threw away the points, not our problem though, and we capitalised from it.

The point is that we definitely have a different mind set to that of the past, in terms of our resolve on the road - and that's borne out with how well we've done results wise away from home over the last 18 months. Why you're trying to argue with that, I've no fucking clue.

Sigurdsson with an assist and a goal, Bony to score a hatrick.

Maybe Baldini could spend 26m plus offer soldaldo for Bony? At current rate Swans to finish above Spurs this season.

"I keep talking about Spurs as if they are in the mix for the top six and another European spot and comparing their performances to what they need to achieve that. I am not sure that is the case, however, because the more I see of them, the more I think they are quite average."

It's not like we were down to ten men for 75% of the game.
Let's get back to reality shall we, they didn't take there chances, we did and won.
its all very well saying what if, the history books says 0 1 and nothing will change that.

If vlad has one thing going for him, it's that he is actually pretty quick. He doesn't get beaten for pace very often

Nah. Our away performances have gone backwards as much as our home performances this season. Doesn't help that most teams will see us as being there for the taking, and it really doesn't help that they'd be absolutely right to think that.

Maybe Pochettino will turn things around. Maybe he won't. However you look at it this it is still the most woeful team and performances we've had for a while.

And then lose at home to Burnley. It would be so Spurs.

This. It's just all so predictable. I'm not even going to be excited if we win because we'll be back to shit at WHL without a doubt. Making Burnley look like Barca.

we have had an awful lot of possesion this year and done nothing with it. When we dont have as much possesion we tend to win games. Swansea like to keep the ball. so if you throw all of this in the mixer. add a dash of tequilla and a squirt of lime. I have absolutley no idea.

Perfectly true, but you can hardly say it was the kind of performance you'd want to see from us on a regular basis.

This season? I wasn't talking specifically about this season. Just a general point that we do better on the road these days compared to the darker years. And the results back that up, simple as that.

The over reaction to the other night says more about some of the fans than it does about Pochettino and the players IMO.
