If none of the injured players recover for saturday then you have got to play the same team that drew to Fulham but with Defoe instead of Crouch. It is not ideal with square pegs in round holes but they are all quality first team players that can do a job.

Modric also has not had a long stint in central midfield so he still needs to get used to it. This may benefit us in the long-term anyway because his skills can be so effective from the middle of the pitch.

I wanna see the Bale Modders combo back and if that means we have to blood Livermore then so be it, hopefully he's tough enough to step up and who better to protect him than Sergeant Palacios.

As for up top, Blackburn are a big, thuggish team and will be able to deal with Crouch better than most, and will happily stick tight on Defoe and cut off his supply but they may be troubled wit Pavs movement and Gudjohnsen dropping off and linking play. I have no problem with any strike combo to be honest though, and all have their qualities and drawbacks.
