Lightening up would indicate something was a joke or funny. You saying it wasn't shown live didn't come across as such.

What stood out for me most was the quality of our CMs now. Thought all four looked good, with Sarr growing into the role over the 45.
Add Bissouma to the mix and what was our weakest position a season ago has become our strongest.

First time I've properly watched Richarlison and I liked what I saw, can hold the ball up, makes runs, plays others in.
Similar all round skillset to Kane but without the end product which will hopefully develop with us.

Only downside was our defending, Sanchez does so much right but then let's himself down with poor decision making. I always hoped he'd grow out of it with experience but he is still doing it.

Sess and Royal did OK, but they still only look like back ups.

I can see why the priorities are still RWB and CB. Attacking midfield would also be good as there were times when Kane and Richarlison were up top together which looked very promising for a 3-5-2.
Get those three done and I'll start to get seriously excited over what this squad can do.

I just think people are reading too much into the game. I know we all want to analyze every detail of it but I’ve seen final judgements of players based on a 45 minute friendly that was effectively an exhibition. Conte even said he just told the players to go out and have fun and didn’t demand any intensity. Didn’t look to be too much structure at the back and many players still looked a bit leggy. Was a fun game but not reading anything into it (genuinely have heard concerns on Lloris based on his 45 minutes, like people have forgotten how good he has been over the years and especially last season)

That match was purely a fun one to get back into the swing of things. Zero point in analysing the performances.
