Agree with Cheltenham, we've got such a big squad that we love bragging about, let's get the group wrapped up now so we can rest if needs be when we have Utd and Lpool coming up.

---------------------LLoris------------------
Naughton--Dawson---Chirches---Fryers
-----------Sandro-------Holtby------------
Lennon------------Lamela-----------Kane
--------------------Defoe------------------

Kaboul in for Dawson if he is fit. Att. 3 to rotate as I know Kane plays best behind the striker.

Bring Chadli on to replace Lennon so they both get their fitness up. If Bentaleb and Veljkovic are elegible and we are doing well bringone on in MF. Could play Soldado instead of Defoe to get his confidence up.

I wouldn't send anyone out there that will be due to pay against West Ham, with the traveling it will be a nightmare I think.

Friedel
Naughton* Chiriches Kaboul Fryers
Sandro Holtby
Lamela**......Kane......Chadli
Defoe
* - If rose isn't fit for West Ham, play a youth
** - If going to go into first team, who ever he takes place of or lennon if fit and lamela starts vs west ham
Kind of agree, but for anther reason also - I think we should use it as a game for people who are lacking match fitness or sharpness - Yes I put Soldado in, I think he needs sharpeness so the more games the better, and I actually think Defoe is better for the Hammers game myself. So I would go with this.

Friedal
Naughton - Kaboul - Chirchiles - Rose
Sandro - Holtby
Lennon - Lamela - Chadli
Soldado

It's an important game that must be taken seriously. We have the squad and long term its preparation for a winning mind set....also I'd love for us to win Europa cup.

Lloris
Naughton Kaboul Chiriches Fryers
Sandro Dembele
Lemela Holtby Chadli

I've been completely against it, but I would start Soldado against Anzhi to hopefully find some goal scoring form.

------------------------- Friedel -------------------------
Naughton --- Kaboul --------- Chiriches ---- Rose
--------- Sandro ------------------- Paulinho ---------
-- Lamela ------------ Holtby -------------- Chadli --
------------------------ Soldado ------------------------

If there is one person who needs a break on Thursday its Paulinho. He was tired looking in the second half against Chelsea. I wouldn't even bring him, leave him in London nice and fresh for Sunday. Game won.

There is an article on the front page with Holtby where he is saying how much he would like to link up with Soldado, might be worth a go, and as i have been continually banging the drum of switching wingers from inverted to conventional for 5 10 minutes like Lennon and Bale used to i think this is the ideal game to experiment.

Fair point. But I don't want to start Dembele, either. Personally, wouldn't even care if we put Holtby in the double-pivot. Maybe put Chadli in the middle with Lamela out wide with Kane on the left.

Anzhi are really poor these days. Obviously they went through widespread changes this summer because their owner had a change of heart, but they are currently dead last in the RPL. They are awful and their best player (Traore) is injured. Seriously, they are really bad. 6 points in 11 matches.

Yeah, I would like to see Holtby and Soldado play together as Holtby really got the best out of Huntelaar at Schalke and to me, Soldado and Huntelaar are a similar type of striker. I wouldn't actually mind to see the Kane experiment continue out wide, either. If he can provide depth out wide his prospects of being a valuable player this season really improves. I love the idea of having a future striker being molded out wide as there is generally more space and it's a bit easier to get into the game.

Kane seems very team orientated too, which i like, i think he has a yard more pace than those early Europa games under Harry, i like him and we should stick with him and develop him, that after all is what good coaching is about, and as we have seen with Ramsey, you never know when it will click with a player mentally. People have written off Chadli already but he is far more comfortable on the ball than the majority of squad players we have had over the years.

Exactly what I would do Snarf. Although I suspect AVB will play one of Dembele/Paulinho to partner Sandro - really don't think its necessary mind.

It's really not necessary. Seriously, we would be fine if we played Bentaleb with Sandro.

...other than we might be disqualified foir fielding an ineligible player !

Bentelab has not spent enough time at Spurs to be oin List B (u21's) and wasn't on List A, so cannot play in EL unless we change the squad in Januuary to include him (unlikely imo). Squad :

That's really too bad. It'd be a great opportunity for him. With the protection of Sandro and with the state of some of the midfields we will face in the group stages, he could have really made a name for himself.

I agree with Snarf, play Soldado to get confidence up. If Ade is fit enough I might play him in the hole and Holtby in the double pivot.

Otherwise:

------------------------- Friedel -------------------------
Naughton --- Kaboul --------- Chiriches ---- Fryers
--------- Sandro ------------------- Siggy---------
-- Lamela ------------ Holtby -------------- Chadli --
------------------------ Soldado ------------------------

If Ade could play, then him to come in for Siggy and Holtby to drop deeper

I personally think Soldado has a very good chance of scoring against a floundering West Ham side that for me I would play him on Sunday instead of Thursday. For the same reason I think Ham would be a good choice to give Lamela a first start in the PL. West Ham is one London Darby we should be able to win easily, the atmosphere will be electric at the Lane for that very reason and if Soldado and or Lamela play well and maybe score then it will give them both a massive confidence boost. If Soldado doesn't perform then maybe move him to a Thursday night match to pick up his confidence and a few goals but I really think he should play against West Ham.
